Disney Comics had published during the show's run:

4 Issue miniseries adapting Plunder & Lightning

7 Issue monthly series, though #5 was an adaptation of The Old Man And The Sea Duck.

Overall I found the series to be a fun read.  When I first bought each issues as a kid I never took much care of my reading material.  Would have saved me money in the long run.  I have all issues except for 6.  Never got 6 the first time around either.

Before cancelation, the series would have expanded on the background of the characters.  An annual that was planned but never written would have explained The Origin Of The Iron Vulture.

Didn't they have those in the Disney Adventures magazines at one time, because I do remember seeing a TaleSpin comic, as well as Goof Troop and Darkwing Duck comics as well.

I knew that there were DW, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Beauty and The Beast comics, but not Tailspin. It's too bad that they're apparently out of print now, otherwise I'd buy them all. I also recall the Tailspin comics featured in Disney Afternoon (that was before DA sold out and started trying really hard to pull the teenyboppers in, IMVHO). Ah, those were the days...

Everybody's forgetting the DuckTales comics which I think lasted longer than any other Disney comic series. 18 issues by Gladstone and 14 by Disney. I'm going to double check on that. I do own TaleSpin:The Skyraker comic book but in one big 48 page book and not as the two seperate issues.

I wrote my own To Be Continueds in the Skyrakercomic alogn with Ducktales: Dime after Dimeto increase the excitement but wished I wouldn't have. I erased what I could but still the value of the comics went down thanks to my actions. Stupid move as a kid but now I'm almsot 25 (on Monday)and now it's in a comic bag with back board next to my DuckTales; Dime After Dime and Ducktales the Movie comic books! There's also many Uncle Scrooge and Uncle Scrooge Adventures comic books and albums!
