Pilot
AIRED:

This thrilling contemporary take transforms the classic Tarzan tale into a rapid-fire adventure, an intriguing mystery and, most of all, a fiery love story. Strong-willed NYPD detective Jane Porter's perfectly ordered life turns upside down when a routine case unexpectedly leads her to primal and passionate Tarzan, now loose in the urban jungles of New York City. After plucking the mysterious feral man from his wild home, Tarzan's billionaire uncle, the CEO of powerful Greystoke Industries, stops at nothing to "civilize" Tarzan in his own image. And, inexorably attracted to Tarzan's dangerous yet profoundly innocent nature, Jane wrestles with reason and instinct, civilization and savagery, her heart and her head.

    • QUOTES (4)

      • (Jane walks in to find Richard shooting baskets on a small basketball court)
Jane: Well. This is quite a set-up you have here, Mr. Clayton.
Richard: Yeah, well, I won't make the Knicks without practice.

      • Jane: How about those dishes from last night?
Nicki: I move away from Mom, only to move in with Mom, the sequel. Wish I lived in the dorms.
Jane: You can live in the dorms. Just get two jobs and work your way through school like I did.

      • Tarzan: I am glad I am here.
Jane: What? How can you say that after everything you've been through?
        Tarzan: Because I found you.

      • Jane: How did you get out in the first place? How did you find me? Are you some kind of bloodhound or something?
Tarzan: I hunt. I hunted for you.
        Jane: Why?
        Tarzan: What are you called?
        Jane: My name? Jane...Porter.
        Tarzan: Jane...Porter, I am Tarzan.
Jane: Uh, I thought your name was John.
Tarzan: (looking up at Greystoke) He calls me John.
