Jane: (to Tarzan) I've been trying to explain right and wrong to you, but I think maybe you already know the difference.
Jane: I almost wish I knew where John went.
Sam: Why? You think he can help us track this guy?
Jane: I don't know.
Sam: Takes a vigilante to catch a vigilante?
Jane: I don't think of John as a vigilante.
Sam: You say so.
Jane: No, Sam, I don't think it's fair to judge him by our rules. I know that he is unpredictable.
Jane: I know that he is wild.
Jane: I also know that he never lies. Not ever. His moral compass doesn't waver. Unlike mine. I think John might be right. My rules are lies. I've crossed the line so many times lately, I don't even know where it is anymore.
(Tarzan is trying on his father's suit jacket)
Kathleen: Fits perfectly.
Tarzan: I'm like him?
Kathleen: Very. I was just a teenager when he died. Had a bad case of big brother hero worship. I never knew exactly what happened to the plane. So I spent years hoping that he'd walk through the front door one day. Safe and sound. That's the hardest thing to let go of. The hope. How's that jacket feel?
(noticing Tarzan's shirts are ripped)
Kathleen: So, I guess you don't like those shirts I got you, huh?
Tarzan: I do now.
Narrator: Detective Jane Porter had everything she ever wanted. But one night, a mysterious stranger changed her world. John Clayton, a man raised in the jungle, then brutally abducted by his uncle, finds himself thrown into a battle for the Greystoke empire. Falsely accused of murder, he and Jane form a bond of mutual protection. To rise up against those who might harm them, protect those in need and secure a future neither could have foreseen.
Tarzan: You caught the man?
Jane: Sniper. Um, no, no. We're still working on it.
Tarzan: Sniper only hurts bad men.
Tarzan: That's good.
Jane: Well, I know it seems that way, but, uh, no, what he does is against the law, which makes it my job to stop him.
Tarzan: I hurt bad men, and you don't stop me.
Nicki: You wanna talk about what's bothering you?
Jane: No. I just wanna get a grip. I got a few things on my mind.
Nicki: Let me guess. John Clayton.
Jane: Wrong. Okay, right. Nicki, I have feelings for this guy. How can I even be thinking this way so soon after Michael died? What kind of person am I?
Nicki: A human person.
Jane: I think it would be good for both of us if we set up some rules.
Jane: Yes. Like...uh, like there can't be any more touching, between us.
Tarzan: I like it.
Jane: Okay. I don't.
Tarzan: Yes, you do.
Jane: I wish I could see the world in black and white, the way you do.
Tarzan: So do I.
