Tee Time

Show Summary

Tee Time is a TV series, presented and produced by Chris Evans, and shown on BBC from 1996 to 2000. Chris Evans takes a humorous look at the world of golf, traveling around the world to some famous and significant golf courses. Evans looks at things like the professional divers who scour the ponds of Florida to find some of the estimated six million golf balls that go missing there every year - a surprisingly hazardous job, given the huge snake population of Florida, with a diver's risk of being poisoned while on the job. However, the divers earn surprising amounts of money - up to 100,000 dollars per year, and over $2,500 for each pond. Evans also tours Boutique de Golf, where mink club-head covers and gilded golf course puzzles can be purchased, and takes golf lessons from some of the great teachers of the sport, such as Butch Harmon, David Leadbetter and Jim McLean.
