Teen Big Brother

Show Summary

In August 2003, eight 18-Year Olds moved into the Big Brother house for ten days. They were taking part in a special edition of popular Reality TV programme Big Brother. Just like the original version of the show, their every move would be recorded. Teen Big Brother started life as a special Channel 4 Educational Programme, which was first billed to air in 2004 as part of C4 Schools - a section of the schedule devoted to educational programming. But after producers edited the programme, they found the footage so compelling that they decided to consult Channel 4 producers as they felt the show deserved to be shown at a more appropriate time-slot. So the series got moved forward to October 2003, in which six episodes would be shown, showing highlights from the ten days in the house. Changes to the format were also made. Since the show was pre-recorded there was no public eviction votes as in previous incarnations of the show, instead the contestants had the power to evict two housemates. At the end, all previous housemates would decide on one winner, who would then choose a guest who would go with them on a trip of a lifetime. The show was broadcast on Channel 4 and repeated on E4. It was then heavily edited into a series of repeats in January of 2004 as it was originally intended as part of 4Learning.moreless
