They canceled Young Justice for this? Agh.
Tuesday 7:30 PM on Cartoon NetworkIn Season
I loved Young Justice! CN is stupid for canceling that show! They also canceled Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Although I heard that show is either moving to Disney Channel due to the fact that Disney is doing Star Wars or that show is getting the boot). So far this show stinks! This show is nothing like the original Teen Titans! Every character except for Raven is an idiot now. And there's barely even any action. They only fought for some stupid sandwich in the first episode!
Well, was I right or was I right?! If this show is so abysmal, I'll be suprised if it goes beyond one season. Only watched a couple minutes of it myself, and even on mute! I think that zero is becoming all the more justified.
You don't make any sense.
From what I saw - and admittedly I didn't watch very much before I'd had enough - and from what has been stated about it having "situations that happen outside of saving the world", precious little of this show has anything to do with them being superheroes. They could just slot in chipmunks, Spongebob, the cast of SNL, or The Flintstones and it wouldn't be significantly different. So, what's the point of it? Why do a show about superheroes who don't do anything super-ey or heroic? Even if I was a Teen Titans fan, I think I'd be annoyed at them doing something so trite and pointless.
|I wasn't aware there was a "it's a spinoff" card but regardless all I've done is state facts. I realize the rest of the people in this thread seem to be pretty oversensitive but I'm not bashing on Young Justice at all, it's quite the opposite really, you all hate this purely because your favorite show got cancelled. And no I'm right, you aren't true Titan fans, if you really wanted a season 6 of the original then you'd appreciate or support CN's decision to pick up a revival to introduce the Titans to a new generation in a way that fits their current programming regime.|
I agree - this show is TERRIBLE! Nowhere near as good as the first go round of Teen Titans, and let's be honest, that show was far from great. Young Justice was absolutely amazing in every way - one of those rare shows like Justice League Unlimited that nailed it. Unfortunately Cartoon Network has chosen a very cheap show to replace it in Teen Titans: Go but I just wish it would Go Away and that CN would bring back Young Justice. The way they treated YJ was criminal! And then to replace it with this *&^% is just rubbing salt in the wound. BAD CN - very bad indeed.
Let's face facts CN's current exes and president want more audience from 12 and younger crowd. They are likely to stay at home and watch t.v. around the time the show is coming on, while older crowd is likely to watch something else on the bigger networks like Fox, ABC, CBS, etc... Or go out on dates, work at a job, not buy merchandise for the shows. TTG is comedy that goes against the original comic or television adaption. What you are forgetting here is the TT skits during DC Nation last year were a hit. The article that said TTG was being made sited that as a reason they decided to use that format for the new show. It's not meant to be a superhero show, but comedy. Pokes fun at some of the silly things in superhero genre itself, humor that is in line with kids of target age, and a parody as well. All the characters are exaggerated versions of the Teen Titans 2003 cartoon. Robin being a control freak, Beast Boy being an idiot, Raven dark and creepy with a soft side etc....
Young Justice was a show both kids and adults could enjoy, but the sad truth is CN had no faith it would make them money. YJ toyline wasn't even advertised so no one bought them and weren't seen in the stores. DVDs weren't advertised either. I bought one when I saw it in the stores and was surprised they even sold them for DVD. That's not a good sign for a show when merchandise isn't even advertised. The sad fact is YJ wasn't advertised or whored out like Annoying Orange, TTG, the new Uncle Grandpa, Regular Show, or Adventure Time during the weekday because CN had not faith it would appeal to younger crowd for some reason. It frequently went on long hiatuses even the fans got sick of itratings probably dropped because some fans stopped watching it. The sad thing is if CN kept Friday Nights lineup instead of bringing back Cartoon Planet shows like YJ, Green Lantern, Thundercats 2011, and Symbiotic Titan would probably still be on today or got more seasons. Friday Night kids watched along with older crowd for whatever reason and when those shows were at their heights in ratings.
