Mas Y Menos
Mas Y Menos' line "Este viejo nos esta jodiendo" translated into English actually means "And this old man is f****** with us!"
At the beginning of the episode, Cyborg sings a song that is almost identical to the Teen Titans theme song, except that this song refers only to himself.
Mas Y Menos' line "Este viejo nos esta jodiendo" translated into English actually means "This old man is pissing me off!" which really isn't a very nice thing to say on a kids' show.
Aqualad reveals that Mas Y Menos can only move fast when touching. However, in reality positives and negatives attract, not repel and it's obvious you'd move fast being repelled from the source, not attracted to it. So, basically put, they should of created Mas Y Mas or Menos Y Menos.
While singing the song, Cyborg said he can shoot a rocket out his shoe. It is actually a footlaser he fires from his shoe.
When the raid started, Aqualad kicked one of the cloaked robots and ended up hopping on one foot. Then when it was every Titan for him/herself, he could rip off arms and punch a hole in one of them.
When the Titans East are setting up the table, Mas Y Menos are bouncing around the table, Menos' patches are + instead of - until the next shot.
Actually, the characters were Green Arrow (or his apprentice), Bumblebee, Aqualad, and Mas Y Menos. Also, in the first comic books, Aqualad was part of the Teen Titans.
Speedy and Aqualad seem to have switched personalities.
When Robin called Cyborg on the road, Cyborg complained that it was hailing. When we see Cyborg continue to drive after the call ends, it is clear out.
How is it that Brother Blood can control Bumblebee now, when he couldn't earlier?
When Brother Blood's robot infiltrated the tower, Mas was using the same tool that Speedy was firing when the blue paint was dumped on him. Now, since when did that become a normal tool?
When everyone is fighting in the Titans East Tower, Cyborg's eyes get really big, and his red eye is normal-colored.
Aqualad: Can't work. Tacos.
Mas Y Menos: (Offering Aqualad some tacos) Quieres?
Aqualad: (Face turns green) Oh, man. (Runs out of the room)
Aqualad: Fish tacos? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! I'm from the ocean. These were probably friends of mine.
Speedy: You said get lunch, I got lunch. Chow down.
(Speedy takes a big bite out of a taco, causing Aqualad to scream like a girl and faint)
Mas Y Menos: Esto es ridículo! Parecemos aficionados! Somos seis contra uno, tenemos que ganar! Pero ella está en nuestro camino y estos dos se están disparando, y este viejo nos está jodiendo! (Both start crying, then duck away) (Translation: "This is ridiculous! We look like amateurs! We're six against one, we have to win! But she's in our way, and these two are shooting at each other, and this old guy isn't screwing around!")
Speedy: What'd they say?
Bumblebee: I hate to say it, but Sparky is right. We aren't working like a team.
Cyborg: We are now following my lead.
Mas Y Menos: Esta vivo? No se. Tocalo con un palo.
(Cyborg opens his eyes and sees them hide a stick)
Aqualad: Can't work... tacos...
Cyborg: (Singing to the tune of the Teen Titans theme) When there's trouble you know what to do. Call Cyborg!!! He can shoot a rocket from his shoe! 'Cause he's Cyborg!!! To the tune of something like that. OH, YEAH!! Na na na na big fluffy cat. That's right!!!
Cyborg: Leader? Me? Seriously?
Brother Blood: You do owe me a headquarters, remember?
Cyborg: The only thing I owe you is a case of canned butt-whoop!!
Bumblebee: That's a super computer, not a foot stool.
Speedy: Pssst, thanks, mom.
Beast Boy: (To Cyborg, over intercom) It's been totally lame here without you. Raven stinks at video games. It's like she isn't even trying.
Raven: Just because you glued the controller to my hands doesn't mean I want to play.
Beast Boy: Ha, ha, ha!
(Raven uses her powers to pull Beast Boy's underpants over his head)
Robin: (To Cyborg, over intercom) So, how's the cross-country trip going?
Cyborg: Just dandy. It's like 80 below, the hail's messin' up my paint job, and why did I volunteer for this?
Brother Blood: Your secrets are all right here. (Points to his head)
Bumblebee: The real Cyborg couldn't take me, so you knockoffs don't stand a chance!
Brother Blood: Come on, Cyborg, what makes you tick?
Cyborg: A 50,000 watt power cell!
(The computer randomizes the encryption keys for the tower, and the tower blasts Blood out of the tower)
Cyborg: And stay out. (Systems shut down)
Mas Y Menos: Señor Cyborg! Buenos dias!
Brother Blood: School is in session and here's the first lesson: NO ONE DEFIES BROTHER BLOOD!!!
Aqualad: If you're going to eat my friends, at least have the decency to get rid of the evidence.
Bumblebee: At least something around here works.
Starfire: You have been somewhat lobstery lately.
Raven: I think she means crabby.
Speedy: (To Bumblebee) So, who died and made you queen, anyhow?
Bumblebee: Well, maybe you could call the shots if you spent more time working, and less time messing with your hairdo!
Mas Y Menos: Aqui! Aqui! Aqui! Aqui!
Bumblebee: Split up!
Mas Y Menos: (Hugging each other) No!!
The HIVE robots move and fight similar to Slade's robot soldiers.
Brother Blood's attack on the Titans East Tower is similar to Slade's attack on Titans Tower. Except Brother Blood's attack was successful. Possibly because Slade didn't show up at the attack, while Brother Blood did.
Though barely audible, another way to tell Mas Y Menos apart is that Menos' voice is slightly higher than Mas'.
Brother Blood returns for the 3rd time this season. Though he was never captured until this episode.
Cyborg is the first to say this phrase in the series.
We learn that Brother Blood can walk on water.
All of the members of Titans East (not including Cyborg) have some kind of similar attributes to the original Titans.
Bumblebee - Raven: Attitude and speaks their mind.
Mas Y Menos - Starfire: Speaks a different language and is fast.
Aqualad - Beast Boy: Doesn't eat fish/meat.
Speedy - Robin: Uses high-tech gadgets and wears a mask.
YTV airdate: April 7, 2005.
The yellow/gold color of the HIVE robots is a reference to a period in the comics when the comic book Cyborg's metal parts were gold.
The cyborg robots are yellow to represent the HIVE.
At one scene, Mas Y Menos' suits form two faces with + and - for eyes.
The heads on the cyborg robots have the same face plates that Fixit was planning to put onto Cyborg in the episode, "The Sum of His Parts."
At the end of the episode, Bumblebee, Aqualad, Speedy, and Mas Y Menos are all left brainwashed by Brother Blood.
In this episode, we learn that Brother Blood has a photographic memory.
Starfire, Beast Boy, & Raven barely appear in the episode.
Cyborg is now the leader of Titans East.
Brother Blood remarks that Cyborg owes him a headquarters, which he had mentioned in "Wavelength."
Brother Blood creates an army of fully robot cyborgs, only their circuitry is yellow, and they all have a HIVE insignia on their chest.
In "Betrayal," Slade's robots invaded Titans Tower. But in this episode, Brother Blood's robots invaded Titans East Tower.
The new tower has a conference table with a "T" logo on it and a disco ball (which Robin wouldn't let Cyborg install in the original tower).
Mas Y Menos' battle cry is "Mas Y Menos! Si Podemos!" Which basically means "Mas and Menos! Yes we can!"
Robin mentions Professor Chang from "X."
The diagram Beast Boy used to explain to Cyborg why he was leaving was Cy's character model sheet.
Mas Y Menos can only speak Spanish and move at super speed only when touching each other.
The Titans East Tower is built into the side of a hill rather than standing on an island and it is shaped like a T, too.
Speedy has gotten a new red uniform since "Winner Take All," as well as a new arrogant attitude.
The Titans East are stationed out of Steel City.
Since his last appearance, Brother Blood has instituted a uniform police for HIVE Academy; the uniforms are purple cloaks with HIVE insignias.
Cyborg sings a version of the Teen Titans theme.
Mas has a plus sign on his outfit, while Menos has a minus sign on his. These signs correspond with the meaning of each twin's name.
Mas Y Menos is Spanish for "More and Less" or "Plus and Minus".
Mas Y Menos only speak Spanish.
There are no superhero twins in DC Comics known as "Mas Y Menos." However, it is possible that these new high-speed Titans are at least based on Don and Dawn Allen, a.k.a. The Tornado Twins, the twin children of Barry Allen (Flash II). After all, the character Hotspot from "Winner Take All" is based on the comic book Titan, Joto, despite the fact that Joto has never been known as Hotspot. It is also good to point out that Don Allen is the father of Bart Allen (Impulse/Kid Flash II).
Villain(s): Brother Blood & Steamroller.
Cyborg can speak a little Spanish, but his grammar is horrible. (He says to Mas Y Menos: (in Spanish) Hello, my name is Cyborg.)
Aqualad shows a new power: he can manipulate any form of water, not just oceanwater, when he manipulates the various pipes of water underground.
Brother Blood: Mind Control
In this episode, Brother Blood takes control of the Titans East. In the comics, he captured Raven and used her powers to trap Nightwing. Brother Blood then tortured both of them until he could successfuly subject both of them to mind control. They were later freed of his enthrall by the Titans.
Mas Y Menos: Appearance
Mas Y Menos are very similar to Pluse and Minun on Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Both having plus and negative signs, and stronger when together.
Mas Y Menos: GameStation 2!
Cyborg's GameStation has always sounded like PlayStation and now it, like PlayStation, has a sequel.
