If you've read my "recap through reactions" of seasons 1, 2, 3A and 3B, then you know that no one in my circle of friends (despite my pleas) watches this amazing, hilarious, beautifully mythical teen adventure. So I turn to you, the tv.com community, to be my Teen Wolf buddies, in good times and in bad, through sickness and heal...

A Teen Wolf Season 3A Recap Through Reactions: "BAH! I Can't Look!!"

Teen Wolf is a tricky minx. You start watching the first season because a show with such a psychotically loyal fanbase has to have some pretty good qualities. Then before you know it you haven’t left your apartment in weeks, you smell like mouldy corn chips and you’re sobbing over a bowl of chocolate covered almonds because the third season is over and things have happened on the screen that tore your heart out.

If you’ve read my “recaps” of season 1 and season 2, then you know what’s up, so here we go:

Toni Watches Teen Wolf Season 3

OH MY GOD ISAAC.

Who is this awesome new motorcycle riding warrior lady that’s saving Isaac ALL OVER THE PLACE? I love her instantly. Also, is it just me, or has Isaac grown MORE adorable? I don’t know who this beautiful motorcycle princess is ...

Teen Wolf Season 3B Recap Through Reactions: "Ugh.. *sob* *choke* *sniff* ...why?????"

I laughed, I cried, I screamed, hid my face under my hands, shook my head and rolled my eyes. Teen Wolf, it's been a wacky, sexy, terrifying adventure and I can already feel my body going through withdrawal symptoms.

Without further ado, I give you, Toni Watches Teen Wolf Season 3B.

OH MY! That was an incredible cold open and I am very concerned for the light of my heart, Stiles. So many twists! One of them made my soul leap when Lydia sat up in bed with him. Romantic fake-out! Oh man, show, you toy with my emotions and I ain’t even mad. But yeah, that was pretty rough to watch.

Oh boy! A new love interest for Scott! And her teacher dad seems super awkward, so I doubt he’ll be pulling a gun on him or anything. I guess this show is really giving the ...

A Teen Wolf Season 2 Recap Through Reactions: "This season is NOT messing around!"
season 2.jpg

Well friends, if you’ve read my “recap” of Teen Wolf Season 1, then you know that I stumbled into this delightful masterpiece late in the game. Obviously as soon as I got hooked, I marathoned all three seasons in a matter of days (I DO SO have a life - you are the… one that… *sigh* okay, I don’t have a life).

I usually write my reactions about any and all shows to my good pal, but she (tragically) has not yet seen the wonders of this heart pumping supernatural teen adventure, so I wrote my reactions to YOU.

Thus, I give you, Toni Watches Teen Wolf Season 2:

Holy shit, Season 2, you are NOT messing around! It is scenes like that that make showers terrifying. I mean seriously, how are we, as a society, supposed to just take relaxing showers when there are horrifying scenes like THAT ...Read more

A Teen Wolf Recap of Season 1 Through Reactions: "I am on BOARD!"
teen wolf.jpg

There was once a time in my life when I saw promo trailers for Teen Wolf and rolled my eyes, like a damn fool. Oh, how ignorant I was to the wacky, sexy, thrill ride of this teen adventure!

I started watching Teen Wolf because I ran out of things to read by Price Peterson. There are certain shows I watch (that may or may not involve vampires) simply to partake in his delightful recaps.

With shows of this eye-bulging magnitude, I enjoy writing my reactions to my good pal via facebook, because she usually sees TV before me (she’s from the future). Television is more fun when you’re enjoying it with someone else. However, disaster struck when I learned my best chum had NOT seen this masterful piece of storytelling genius!

So, like any other sane person, I decided to enjoy this show with YOU GUYS. I ...Read more

Best Teen Wolf Music, Part II
Nearly midway through Season 3, I wrote a post titled "Best Music Moments in MTV's Teen Wolf" (here) in appreciation of the excellent music MTV has been using in its scripted series. It's been a year, and it's time to revisit.

10. Hayden Calnin “Coward”Melissa stresses over bills, Scott shares Garrett’s blood-money with Stiles in “Orphaned” (S4ep6)

“Coward” feels heavy. Its percussion drags even as it trips forward, weighing down Hayden Calnin’s echoing and distant vocals and its ethereal triangle chimes. Real-life, human problems, like the financial struggles of a single parent, have been a major theme of Season 4. Calnin’s opening lyrics chime in—“Break down/On your knees and drown”—and give a somber melody to Melissa McCall’s very mundane but very real problems and Scott’s sense of helplessness as he overhears her difficulties.

9. Korn (feat. Noisia) “Burn ...

What Teen Wolf's "The Fox and the Wolf" Did Right... and Where It Dropped the Ball
For much of Season 3B, Teen Wolf has gestured pointedly toward the past. From Stiles' early inability to read his World War II textbook to Allison's mysterious voicemail from 70 years prior and again to a villain dressed in 1940s military uniform, Japanese-American relocation during the war has remained an obscure but ever-present shadow over current events. Finally, "The Fox and the Wolf" provides a lengthy flashback in which most of the earlier details are explained. It's Teen Wolf's first real attempt at historical criticism and commentary, and at least in my mind, it does so with mixed success.

I understand that this commentary is always secondary to the story Teen Wolf is otherwise telling, which is of course up to its usual high standards, but I can't help but consider the attempt: what Teen Wolf did right and where it disappointed.

What It Did Right ...

Best Music Moments in MTV's Teen Wolf

Maybe it’s just that I’m from a generation that can actually remember when most of MTV’s programming was dedicated to music, when the now all-but-defunct medium of the music video occupied multi-hour time blocks of primetime, but more than a decade of trashy-but-embarassingly-watchable dating game shows and Britney Spears video marathons has had most viewers questioning whether the network could still fittingly be called Music Television. Don’t mistake this for nostalgia. Its time has passed, and any attempt at resurrecting the music video on television would be little more than a novelty. But MTV has begun back-dooring new and all-around excellent music into their scripted programming. Great music has become a staple feature of a great show. In appreciation, here they are: the ten best music moments in Teen Wolf so far.

Peter and Issac in the car

This takes place after "The Overlooked". The last time we saw Peter,Issac and Cora was near the end of the episode. Peter was in bad shape after his fight with the twins.

Dont take it too seriously.

Peter, Issac and an unconscious Cora are speeding away from the hospital loading bay, thinking the Alpha's might still be after them

Peter "Keep going Issac, dont stop!"

Issac "Ok...but what about Scott and Stiles?"

Peter "Who and Stiles?"

Issac "Scott"

Peter "Oh... the goofy one.....I can see the benefit of going back for Stiles, he's obviously the braintrust of you merry band of mutts....but the goofy one?"

Issac "I owe him a lot"

Peter "Like what?"

Issac "Well for starters, he let me crash at his place when i didn't have a place to stay"

Peter "That was awfully nice of him"

Issac ".... I guess ...
