Name change: In original 1985 movie, Michael J. Fox plays Scott Howard. In this MTV pilot, the creators changed the name to Scott Mccall.
Character eliminations: In original 1985 movie, and animated series, one of Scott's original friends was Lisa "Boof" Marconi and Chubby. Neither character has appeared or been written in the show.
Sport change: In original 1985 movie, Scott Howard played basketball. In this MTV pilot, the creators changed him to be a lacrosse player.
Werewolf origins: In original 1985 movie, it is revealed that Scott's family in a long line of werewolves. Subsequently for the TV pilot, Scott's origins for being a werewolf are simply being bit by another werewolf.
Tyler Posey was in the running for the part of Jacob Black in Twilight, but was edged out by Taylor Lautner.
Goof: Right before the deer starts running, Scott is about to take his inhaler. There is no cap on the inhaler as he brings it to his mouth, but when the deer knock it out of his hand, the inhaler flies closer into view where you can see that it has the cap on.
