Episode Summary

While preparing for Irma's birthday party, Michelangelo realizes he has forgotten to invite the guest of honor. He contacts April, who is in the midst of interviewing Professor Von Ziflin about the discovery of a meteorite that "just crashed in the area." The professor claims that this is a very unusual meteorite with a core composed of an extremely rare isotope known as "Exaporon." The Turtles turn on their TV to watch their favorite journalist as she interviews the professor. Suddenly a noxious gas fills the room and someone steals the meteorite. Before the thief can escape, he stops in front of the news camera, revealing himself to be Shredder.
Then, Krang uses the exaporon to build an enlarging device, and he accidently shoots Irma with it. She grows extra large and nearly turns the city into a junkyard, and the Turtles have to reclaim the remaining Exaporon isotope to reverse the process.

  • Look out Big Apple - Irma goes giantess

This is actually one of my faves cuz Irma is one of my favorite characters.

I actually got a giggle from seeing Irma crying when Michaelangleo and Raphael using the word "big" in a sentence or two.

MICHAELANGELO: 'Aw, lighten up, Irma. It's no biggie.'

    IRMA: 'No biggie?' (cries)

RAPHAEL: 'Oh, nice move, Michaelangelo. You and your big mouth.'

    IRMA: 'Big mouth?!' (cries)

And her tears come down like giant raindrops on poor Donatello. Ya don't wanna be in his situation in that section of NYC.

At least the TMNT are able to return Irma to her normal size just in time for her b-day party.moreless
  • Gigantic Ray plus Irma equals Big Trouble

This was one of the funniest episodes I've seen. It's obvously a parody on a lot of those Japanese Giant Monster Movies like Godzilla.

The only problem with this episode though is it does drag it's foot in a few places. Mainly when Irma was gone for a matter of minutes in the episode. But that problem can easyly be overlooked, just as Irma's gigantic size is hard to miss.

Irma is as usual Irma just magnifeded 10 times fold. It funny just seeing her destroy some of the city though her usual clumsyness, and the good natured soul she is she's appaligetic about it. Or when one or two of the Turtles accidently hurt her feelings her tears are like magnified raindrops which pritty much give the Turtles more grief then they already have when she was normal sized.moreless
