    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (4)

      • Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood
Raphael: It's not nice to invade Mr. Raphy's neighborhood.

When Raphael is talking to the Triceraton he makes an indirect reference to the classic children's show, Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, replacing his name, Raphy, in place of Mr. Rogers' name.

      • Title: Space Invaders
The title of this episode and the following two episodes related is an allusion to the 1978 arcade game, Space Invaders. The episodes have nothing to do with the actual game besides sharing the same title.

      • Star Trek

        Michelangelo: Prepare to be assimilated!

The Borg, a race of cyborg aliens from Star Trek, use that line often.

      • REM (the band)

Michelangelo: It's the end of the world as we know it, and I don't feel fine.

REM has a song entitled It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine). Michelangelo is referencing that REM song in his line of dialogue.
