    • TRIVIA (2)

    • QUOTES (2)

    • NOTES (1)

      • The show's creators claimed that they based Sir Malachi on all of the role-playing games that they enjoyed playing and that they very much want a wizard character.

    • ALLUSIONS (12)

      • At the end of the episode, Leonardo is the first to realize that the world they are in isn't real. He also instructs the other Turtles as to how to create working weapons. This is very similar to how the G2 TMNT Season 7 Episode 10 Virtual Reality Check played out.

      • Sir Malachi's first attack of the final fight with the Turtles is Magic Fist. It parodies the classic Dungeons and Dragons spell Magic Missile.

      • After Sir Malachi gives his third riddle, he unleashes a flaming boulder trap out of the ceiling. This is nearly identical to the boulder trap of Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.

      • After Sir Malachi's second riddle and during the floor trap scene, Michaelanglo barely saves himself from falling into lava. Afterward, the Turtles progress through the hall dealing with more breakaway tiles. This entire scene is an allusion to Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. In the movie, Indiana Jones faced breakaway tiles and nearly falling into lava as part of his second trial to obtain the holy grail.

      • Leonardo's shield logo is similar to the logo used for the video game Dragon Age Origins.

      • When Sir Malachi plays with his crystal ball showing April, he does it identical to David Bowie's character, The Goblin King, in the movie Labyrinth.

      • When Sir Malachi says "You must solveth the puzzles three." he is parodying the Bridge Keeper in the movie Monty Python and The Holy Grail.

      • Leonardo's knight helmet design is very similar to the helmet of Marvel Comics' villain Galactus.

      • When the Turtles step out in slow motion in their hero costumes, they are parodying Mystery Men.

      • Donatello's wizard costume is a parody on Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit

      • The table top role playing game the Turtles are playing, Mazes and Mutants, is a parody of Dungeons and Dragons.

      • In one scene Mikey pets his ring and calls it "My Awesome." Raph smacks him in response and Mikey hisses. These are both allusions to Gollum in The Lord of the Rings.
