  • April's Secret

This is another really good entry, where finally the secret on April is revealed. Not a whole lot I can really say for this one so I'll be brief.

The only bad things about the episode were I thought April was getting her butt kicked a little too much which doesn't really make sense. It's true that she never fought the Krang in actual combat before and this was her first real mission but she should be this bad, she was able to mop the floor with both regular and robotic foot soilders so why is she unable to handle Krang soilders. Also she was a bit out of character in a couple of moments when she kept saying she didn't need help, that's just stupid she should be greatful she's getting help at all; the battlefield isn't a one man affair, no matter how good you are the odds are always against you and you need all the help you can get to beat them.

Anyway the story was very soild, I really like that there was some depth on the Krang that they've came to earth thoughout the centuries and may be responsible for most the creatures we've seen in the legends and mythology. But the reason they've been conducting constant test was to find the perfect being with the correct gene coding to use their eveolutionary formula to create warriors for takeover, and it seems like April was the lucky winner.

The action is soild, I liked the fight with the April reject monster, the design of it is nasty and creepy. One highlight was seeing April utilize her scanner abilities, as we see when she uses it she is able to destroy all of what was in her way when things got bad which was cool.

The ending ended on a bit of a dark note, when we see the reaction on her face once she gets the news that she is half human and half mutant, it's one of fear. Which is understandable, despite what we've discovered it causes me at the same time to be a bit concerned for her life. Those scanner like abilities of hers are developing and becoming more powerful by the minute, it sort of makes me concerned if those abilities might have some side effects. But also since she's half mutant does that mean she'll change into something?

Every answer leads to a question.moreless
