It seems such a loss for those who loved him, especially his family. I bet somewhere Tinky-Winky would feel proud, but sad at the same time.

XD That was the most idiotic thing ever. Males can carry whatever kind of bags they like...who's to say that only women should use ones that look a certain way? How absurd. Purple's got nothing to do with gay pride. It's typically represented by rainbow stripes, for whatever reason, along with the same-sex gender symbols. (But rainbow stripes are awesome and of course should not always be taken to symbolize that. I've got nothing against gay pride...heck, I support gay marriage. I'm just saying that people act ridiculously and want to automatically draw conclusions from things that really have nothing to do with what they're thinking of...O.o) So yeah, the shape of his antenna might seem to you like a bit too much of a coincidence, but honestly...it's a geometric shape. Who cares? It never really crossed my mind til this guy made a big laughable deal out of it. Tinky Winky carries his red purse/handbag thing...whatever. That's cool. Bags are for carrying stuff in. Got zero to do with one's sexual orientation. (I know I'm being far too serious for the issue of a Teletubby, but the trouble is that this plainly stupid manner of thinking extends to EVERYthing and plagues society, not just tubby preschool characters with built-in televisions.)

Really, just because Tinky Winky is purple, his antennae is the shape of the gay symbol, and he carries around a purse doesn't mean he's gay I watched this show as a little kid (unfortunately) and I never saw anything weird about him having a purse! Maybe purses are just the only kind of carrying bag in Teletubby Land!
