I am a History Enthusiast, and when my wife told me about the TENKO Series, it immediately caught my interest.
I am Retired from the Armed Forces, and I remember the classes we had concerning if we were ever captured, and what the Code of Conduct for prisoners. But, these women were not combatants, they were housewives, girl friends and nurses. Yet, they were mistreated as if they had been soldiers.
To watch them cope with malnourishment, death of their friends, beatings just because they were women, will keep you coming back to see more of it.
These women survived, in spite of their captors, and I would like to see BBCA put the series back on.
I'm still trying to find this series so I can add it to my collection of WW2 Memorabilia, CD's and Tapes.
