    • Texaco's two-year contract with Milton Berle ends 6/30/1952, at which point he becomes exclusive property of NBC (under that whopping 30-year contract he signed with the network). According to Billboard magazine (12/22/1951), Texaco is undecided about continuing to sponsor the show. The talent and time charges will increase considerably at that point, so NBC is considering selling a shared sponsorship for next season.
In Pittsburgh, the only TV station in the city is WDTV owned by Dumont. To keep the series on the air in that market, Texaco was forced to agree to their demand to air Berle only every other week. The alternate weeks, WDTV will air DuMont's Keep Posted and half of Frank Sinatra's CBS series. it is the only station in the country not carrying the weekly show every week.

    • This show was Sid Stone's final appearance as Texaco's fast-talking pitchman.
