  • QUOTES (3)

    • Fez: She [Jackie] will crush him [Kelso], yes?
Hyde: Like the spirit of your Mayan forefathers.
Fez (laughing): My forefathers were not Mayan.
      Hyde: Like anyone cares.

    • Kelso: Geez, if [Red]'s like this now, he's going to be a total headcase when they shut down the plant. He's just going to be this pathetic guy...
      (Red walks in)
Kelso (loudly): ...with breasts the size of watermelons! (pauses) ...is what Moses said to the Egyptians.

    • (talking about how "whipped" Kelso is, imitating Jackie's voice)
Hyde: Michael, call me at 8:00.
Eric: Michael, do your Chico impression.
Fez: Michael, rub oil on my thighs while I spank you.
(Kelso, Hyde, and Eric all look at Fez, surprised)
Fez: Please, someone else talk now.

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (5)

    • Jackie: It's just like in West Side Story. If Maria beat Tony in one-on-one, they never would've fallen in love.
Donna: Yeah, then Tony never would've been killed in that knife fight.

The 1961 film West Side Story was directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise. It won 10 Oscars, including Best Picture. However, in the film, Tony is not killed in a knife fight. He is shot by Chino.

    • Jackie (on phone): Barbara Streisand becomes this huge star, right? But Kris Kristofferson could not take it anymore. So he drinks and drinks and crashes his car. Isn't that romantic?

Jackie is describing the 1976 movie A Star Is Born, which won the Oscar for Best Original Song ("Evergreen") the following year.

    • Eric: You're right, Jackie. The Fonz could beat up Bruce Lee.

The Fonz is from Happy Days, which ran from 1974 to 1984.
Bruce Lee played Kato on The Green Hornet which ran from 1966 to 1967, as well as appearing as that character on "Batman", and was famous for kung-fu type movies such as "Enter The Dragon" in 1973.

    • Kitty: We'll get rid of these chairs and we'll sit on the floor like those nice Japanese people in "Flower Drum Song".

"Flower Drum Song" was a Rogers & Hammerstein Broadway musical that was made into a movie in 1961. It is about a Chinese family that comes to the United States. The goof was most likely intentional by the writers.

    • Jackie: Michael, call me tonight at 8:00.
Kelso: But that's when "Chico and the Man" is on.

Chico and the Man was a half-hour sitcom that ran from 1974 to 1978, starring Freddie Prinze. In 1976, the timeslot for the show moved from 8:30 to 9:00 to 9:30; however, it was never shown at 8:00.
