  • Kevin McDonald

    Pastor Dave

    9.4
Kevin McDonald was born on May 16th, 1961. None would suspect that the athsmatic, overweight tv addict would grow up to star in, create, and write for one of the most popular Canadian comedies. With such famous and neurotic characters such as Dean, the king of empty promises, and Sir Simon Milligan its hard to think of Kevin as anything but a really funny guy. Kevin, the soft-spoken guy, hidden under silly bundles of brown hair, admits that while growing up all he could really do was be funny. He couldn't live up to his fathers dreams of him being a lawyer so he stopped doing his homework and worked on his jokes for the next day. He was kicked out of a college art program for only being able to do comedy and for being too clumsy to do anything behind the scenes. One of the teachers who liked him introduced him to Dave Foley, there by beginning a strong friendship that lasts to this day. In 1982 Kevin, Dave and Luciano Casimiri formed The Kids In The Hall. Around that time Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, Norm Hiscock, Gary Campbell, and Frank Van Keeken were performing in a group they called The Audience. The two groups merged and started doing acts together. With the absence of Gary Campbell and Frank Van Keeken, Mark McKinney invited Scott Thomopson to join Kevin, Bruce, Dave, and himself to create The Kids In The Hall. In 1988 the kids get their own HBO special and the tv show started the next year. Kevin McDonald was married to Tiffany Lacy in 1993. They were divorced in 1995 as The Kids were shooting their movie: Brain Candy. Kevin played the main character, Chris Cooper in the film about a drug that cures depression. Kids In The Hall ended in 1994, just before they started work on Brain candy. Since Brain candy's release in 1996, Kevin has been in other films such as National Lampoons Senior Trip, The Wrong Guy, and Dinner at Fred's. he has also had guest appearances on tv shows such as Seinfeld, Newsradio, Friends, Mad TV, and Ellen. Keep watching out for Kevin, he keeps popping up in different places.moreless
  • Shannon Elizabeth

    Brooke

    9.4
Shannon Elizabeth Fadal was born on September 7, 1976, in Houston, Texas. Her exotic look can be attributed to the fact that her father is part Syrian and Lebanese, while her mother is of English, French and Cherokee Indian decent. Shannon's parents decided to move to Waco, Texas when Shannon was a young child. Claiming to not be part of the popular group in what she described as a cliquey high school, Shannon was very much involved in most after school activities. Part of the student council executive, Shannon was active in volleyball and cheerleading (which probably came easy to her thanks to her tap and ballet lessons as a child). Her biggest interest during high school, however, was tennis, which she considered doing professionally. Her life took an unexpected twist in Shannon's senior year when she starred in video that a local band was shooting. The producer thought that Shannon had what it took to become a model, and convinced her and her parents to go to New York to get some photos done. Once Shannon graduated from high school in 1991, she moved to New York where a modeling agency was waiting for Shannon to graduate and begin her modeling career. While doing some modeling work in New York (where she lived in the NYU dorms), Shannon also worked in countries such as France, Japan, Hong Kong, and Milan. Although working abroad was an excellent experience, Shannon admits to having been homesick. When she returned to the U.S., she spent a few months in South Beach, Miami before moving to Los Angeles. Ready to start her pursuit of an acting career, she hesitated going to L.A. immediately, recognizing the amount of competition among young budding actresses. When she finally did go to L.A., Shannon signed with the Ford Modeling Agency, figuring that getting some of her pictures done would help her get into acting. She later signed with Elite Model Management. It didn't take long for Shannon to get her first commercial -for Taco Bell - and she decided to stay in L.A. and joined an acting class. Soon after, the roles came in, both on television and film. She appeared in the television series Hang Time, Pacific Blue, My Generation, Step By Step, Blade Squad, USA High and My Generation. In 1997, Shannon had a role in the film Jack Frost (where she appeared nude), as well as Dish Dogs soon after. It was her role in last year's summer hit American Pie as Czech foreign exchange student Nadia, that launched Shannon's fame and career. Shannon presently lives with her lucky boyfriend Joe Reitman, along with her six dogs. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dogs, going to the gym and doing yoga. A huge fan of Garth Brooks and Prodigy, her favorite actors are Michelle Pfeiffer and Gary Oldman. A recent cover girl for Maxim and Details, Shannon is Enrique Iglesias' love interest in the video for his song, "Be With You". She can soon be seen in this summer's horror movie spoof, Scary Movie, co-starring Carmen Electra. You can catch Shannon later this year in the film Tom Cats, which will certainly not be the last we'll see of Shannon.moreless

    8.0
American television actress and comedienne Christina Moore is probably most remembered for her performances as a featured player in the comedy sketches of MADtv and as the actress who took over Lisa Robin Kelly's character, Laurie Forman, on That '70s Show. Raised in Palatine, Illinois, Christina was already drawn to acting even at an early age as she sang and performed in church programs. In high school, she was involved with a musical theater group which toured throughout Chicago. Her first professional acting job was appearing on stage in a production of Young Abe: the Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Outdoor Musical Drama in Evansville, Indiana. She also performed in other plays like Cinderella, Big River, and Annie. After finishing her education at Illinois Wesleyan University, Christina decided to move to Los Angeles with the intent of starting an acting career on television and in film. In the Fall of 1996, Moore landed her first TV roles (though unnamed and minor) as a Sexy Anchor on Beverly Hills, 90210 and a Gorgeous Woman on Married with Children. She made her rounds appearing on several '90s TV series before starring in her first series regular role as Amy Sweeny on the short-lived WB drama Hyperion Bay in 1998. After several guest appearances on different primetime shows, Moore became a cast member of the popular gag show MADtv in 2003 and later that year, took on the role of Topher Grace's sister during the sixth season of FOX's That '70s Show. Her other notable TV characters included the wealthy wife-to-be Emerson Ives on Hot Properties (2005), which also starred Gail O'Grady and Nicole Sullivan, and Jenny McCarthy's roommate on The Bad Girl's Guide. Unfortunately, both series didn't last for more than a season. In 2008, Christina made her way back to Beverly Hills as the mischievous mother of Naomi Clark (played by AnnaLynne McCord) on 90210. In the Summer of 2009, she was hired, along with Jada Pinkett Smith, as one of Richmond Trinity Hospital's nurses on the TNT medical drama Hawthorne.moreless

One of his commercials was with Sarah Michelle Gellar, when she was four years old.

He went on to appear in such illustrious telly as The X-Files, The Wonder Years, Beverly Hills 90210, Evening Shade, seaQuest DSV (as Wolfman, maybe a sign of things to come?) before his extended exposure on Buffy, the Vampire Slayer as Oz.

He has appeared in many movies including: Hotel New Hampshire, Radio Days (as a young Woody Allen), My Stepmother Is An Alien (as Alyson Hannigan's boyfriend, another omen?), Pump Up The Volume (with Juliet Landau also of Buffy fame), the 1992 movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (his scenes were cut), Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, Stonebrook, Idle Hands, Enemy Of The State, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Can't Hardly Wait.

Interestingly, Seth had a part in the movie version of Buffy - unfortunately, his part ended up on the cutting room floor, though a still photo of him (as a vampire) is on the back of the box of the US video release.

He graduated from Lamberton High School in 1991.

Though Seth has a very large list of credits, he didn't gain notoriety until Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Austin Powers came along.

Now he has less anonymity and a lot of fans to attest to it, from two distinctly separate groups eleven to seventeen-year-old girls and drug-dealers.

While his involvement with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie only goes back as far as the cutting room floor of 1992 he is apparently on the cover of the US video release.

In 1997 his return to the realm of Buffy came, it was not as grand as it would become: his contract was only for three episodes in Season Two (namely 'Inca Mummy Girl', 'Halloween' and 'What's My Line, Part One') as Oz, the first person to show an interest in Willow [Alyson Hannigan], but fairly early on it became apparent to Buffy creator Joss Whedon that Seth and Alyson got on well enough to make more of Oz and so he increased Oz's relevance to the story of 'What's My Line' and put him in Part Two (taking a bullet for Willow). Whedon wanted to give the characters besides Buffy [Sarah Michelle Gellar] more of a private life and Willow's love life had really only been explored with Xander [Nicholas Brendon]. Whedon wanted the audience to hate Oz for driving Willow and Xander apart and then love him. He wrote Oz into the big two part story of season two: 'Surprise' and 'Innocence' and gave him a scene with Willow where he tells her how he feels about her and it worked, Oz fans appeared all over. Oz was officially admitted into the Scooby Gang when he saw Buffy slay a vampire at The Bronze, helped steal a rocket launcher from the army and pick up immolated parts of a dead invincible demon. Not bad for a day's work.

Joss Whedon gave a copy of the next episode's script to Seth as a way to convince him to become a regular for the next season. It worked and Oz became the werewolf in 'Phases'. In 'Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered' he searched for Buffy after Amy [Elizabeth Anne Allen] turned her into a rat. In 'Passion' someone had to die and it was going to be Oz, but his signing up for the third season fortunately scuppered that and the unlucky honour fell to Jenny Calendar [Robia La Morte]. After his rodent recovery duties in 'Bewitched, Bothered And Bewildered' he next appeared in the both parts of the two part Season Two finale 'Becoming, Part Two'. In the latter part of that Willow is in a coma and Xander, sitting at her bedside tells her he loves her, she wakes up and the first thing she says is "Oz?".

He made Entertainment Weekly's '1998 It List,' the magazine's annual pick of the hottest stars.

Oz naturally returned in Season Three in 'Anne' with a promotion to series regular and as part of the Buffy-absent slaying. In 'Dead Man's Party' and 'Faith, Hope & Trick' he is an integral part of the Scooby Gang. The next episode 'Beauty And The Beasts' starts as an Oz feature episode, but becomes a reminder of who Angel [David Boreanaz] is. For the remainder of the season Oz fulfils two roles: Willow's boyfriend and 'boy-in-a-band'. This is primarily due to the sheer amount of screen time devoted to new slayer Faith [Eliza Dushku]. That said he is still great in every scene in which he appears, highlights include 'Band Candy', 'Lover's Walk', 'The Wish', 'Amends', 'The Zeppo', 'Dopplegangland', 'Choices' and 'Earshot'. He becomes increasing under-utilized as the season progresses until 'Graduation Day, Part One and Two' where he has some of his best scenes all year.

Having decided to leave Buffy for a further career in movies Seth handed in his noticed and agreed to appear in the beginning of Season Four. In 'The Freshman' the gang (minus Angel and Cordelia [Charisma Carpenter], who have left for LA and their' own show: Angel) relocate to UC Sunnydale. In 'Living Conditions' Oz spots Veruca [Paige Moss] on campus and is strangely attracted to her (all in a split second). 'The Harsh Light of Day' and it's Angel crossover 'In The Dark' gave Oz double duties as he took the Gem of Amarra retrieved from Spike [James Marsters] and gave it to Angel and then helped Cordelia & Doyle [Glenn Quinn] save the day. In 'Fear, Itself' the gang get to feel the worst fears coming true two of which: Oz losing control of the wolf within and Willow losing Oz would come true two episodes later. Oz is almost infatuated with Veruca all through 'Beer Bad' and discovers that she is a werewolf like him in 'Wild At Heart' and they attack Prof. Walsh [Lindsay Crouse]have sex in wolf form. Realising he has no control over his wolf side he flees Sunnydale and Willow.

When he left to make the thriller 'Knockaround Guys' (with John Malkovich and Barry Pepper) it was not known if he was going to return. It was expected that he would and in a regular role, those with expectations were half right: he did return in 'New Moon Rising' but only as a guest star. Oz claims to have found a cure for his condition and doesn't change on the night of a full moon and he and Willow seem likely to be back together until Willow tells Buffy that she and Tara [Amber Benson] are involved. Oz meets Tara and is enraged and transforms into wolf form warning her to "Run". He is caught by The Initiative and almost killed by Riley [Marc Blucas] because he mistakenly thought Oz was the demon that attacked co - soldier Graham [Bailey Chase]. When Riley realises that it is Oz he attempts to help him escape risking a court martial at the hands of Col. McNamara [Conor O'Farrell] and held in the brig. Willow, Buffy, Xander and Spike attempt to break both of them out with the help of Giles, Anya [Emma Caulfield] and albeit unwittingly Adam [George Hertzberg]. Oz suspects that it is Willow that brings out the wolf in him and leaves again, Willow professes her love to Tara.

He also appears in the season finale, 'Restless' in Willow's dream as a metaphor for her life with him being different to her life with Tara. Only time will tell whether he will return to Buffy or in fact Angel. The rumours say yes, but then they always do. Don't they?

As for the future, Seth is apparently not interested in directing, but he would like to produce, as well as keep acting. He and his best friends Breckin Meyer and Ryan Phillippe have an office where they peruse scripts, and they are aiming to produce films together.

Next on the horizon the dark comedy Scorned. The film, which is based on an idea from Seth and his childhood-friend-turned-screenwriter Hugh Sterbakov, centres on a young engaged couple whose romance takes an ugly turn when they head to college; the affair becomes a grudge match, and the pair's dorm turns into a war zone.moreless

Seth was born to Herbert, a mathematics teacher, and Barbara, an artist in Philadelphia, PA. The couple already had a daughter, Kaela also an actress. Seth and Kaela were raised in Overbrook Park, PA. It is said that a photograph of him being born was used in an ad campaign for natural childbirth, but Seth's mother has denied this rumor. Seth attended public school and played soccer. He decided to make acting his career at age six when he took part in a workshop in his hometown and after appearing in a summer camp performance of "Hello, Dolly!" Seth actually got his start in commercials as a child including a John Denver Album, Fruit Loops, Carl's Jr., Rally's (the origination of the catchphrase "Cha-Ching!" which still follows Seth around to this day), Wendy's, Jello Pudding Pops, Kodak, Hewlett Packard Printer, California Department of Health Services on Smoking and most recently the US Sci-Fi Channel. One of his commercials was with Sarah Michelle Gellar, when she was four years old.

  • Eliza Dushku

    Sarah

    9.4
Eliza Dushku was born in Watertown, Massachusetts, to an Albanian father and Danish mother, and raised in the LDS Church, the faith of her mother (though she is not actively practicing). She has three brothers, Aaron, Ben, and Nate, the latter of whom is also an actor. Eliza lives in the Los Angeles area with Nate, the oldest of her three brothers, whom she calls her "partner in crime." Eliza came to the attention of casting agents when she was 10. Along with her brother, she went to a commercial audition where she tripped on the stairs, got a blood nose, and became an instant drama queen. At 12, she was chosen at the end of a five month search throughout the United States for the lead role of Alice, opposite Juliette Lewis in the film That Night. In 1993, Eliza landed a role as Pearl alongside Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio in This Boy's Life, a role that she said opened a lot of doors. Eliza says that Dicaprio taught her how to deal with bullies and other high school dangers, for which she is grateful. The following year, she played the teenage daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies. She also had parts as Paul Reiser's daughter in Bye Bye, Love, as Cindy Johnson with Halle Berry and Jim Belushi in Race the Sun, as well as roles in a television movie and a short film. Eliza took some time off from acting to finish her junior and senior years of high school. She was accepted to the George Washington and Suffolk Universities in Boston. After completing high school, Eliza returned to acting with the role of Faith, a Slayer much more troubled than the main character Buffy. Though initially planned as a five episode role, the character became so popular that she stayed on for the entirety of the third season. She has also made guest appearances in Buffy's spin-off, Angel. Because of her convincing role as a sociopath, she became an icon to many criminals. She was inundated with piles of fan mail from legions of prisoners. In 2000, she starred with Kirsten Dunst in the cheerleader comedy Bring It On, which was a surprising success at the box office that spawned a sequel. Kevin Smith invited her to be a part of his final adventure for his two characters, Jay and Silent Bob, in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, where Eliza co-starred with Shannon Elizabeth, Ali Larter, Ben Affleck, and others. After this, Eliza starred in Soul Survivors, opposite Ben Affleck's brother Casey, followed by a role in The New Guy. Eliza then returned to work with Robert De Niro and director Michael Caton-Jones in City by the Sea, playing James Franco's junkie girlfriend and mother of his child. The film garnered attention from a wider adult audience and several good reviews. 2003 saw the release of Wrong Turn, a horror film in which Eliza had the starring role, and The Kiss, an independent comedy-drama. Starting that same year, she also starred in a new Fox TV series, Tru Calling, where she played the main character, Tru Davies. On October 1, 2005, she announced at Wizard World Boston that shooting had begun for Nobel Son (to be released in 2006), in which she will star with Alan Rickman, Danny DeVito, Bill Pullman, and Peter Boyle. Eliza also announced that she would appear in a Broadway production entitled "Dog Sees God" in December of 2005.moreless
