  • Christmas Review #51

The cheerleaders kick Jackie off the squad, so she invites the gang to the dance to give her popularity a boost. Kelso visits Brooke at the library in an effort to start a friendship with her. Christmas Eve is going to be "Hot Donna's" first shot at being a DJ at the station she works at. And Kitty signs Red up to be the mall's Santa Claus, sparking a rivalry between him and Bob. I thought that this was a superb Christmas episode of "That 70s Show". My score was only a little low because the main plot with the gang at the Christmas Eve dance was getting a little boring. Other than that, this episode was very funny but most of the laughs were from the "Red as Santa Claus at the mall" plot. All of the things that Red said to the children when they sat on his lap was hilarious (but awful at the same time :D haha Red is a bad Santa Claus). Bob taking Red's place as Santa Claus near the end of the episode was funny and it was hilarious when Red said "Kitty, hold my silly red hat" when he was gonna go beat up Bob so he can be Santa Claus. The beginning of the episode with Kitty signing everyone as Santa's Little Helpers which makes the guys want to go to the Christmas Eve dance was funny. The most hilarious part in the Christmas Eve dance plot was when Fez was singing "A Blue Christmas Without You" and then the football players chase him off the stage. So yeah, it was a funny episode but most of the humor was from the Red plot. Overall, a superb Christmas episode of "That 70s Show". 9/10

You wouldn't expect much from a holiday episode, and in the beginning of this episode, I certainly wasn't expecting that much. But this episode surprised me. All the plots in this episode were likable, and they tied in, in their own little way. Donna gets a promotion at the radio station, and she is super excited with her bacon noises! Eric, Hyde, Kelso & Fez all go to their former high school to support Jackie to get her back on the cheerleading squad. When really, they just want to get out of being elves at the mall with Kitty & Red, all the hilarious events take place at the high school. Eric realizes he's suddenly popular, just because he graduated. My favorite part of this episode would definitely have to be Kelso, Hyde, Fez, and Eric walking into the party while AC/DC's "TNT" is playing the background, and Fez falls in to the tree. Absolutely hilarious scene between the gang; meanwhile Kelso realizes that he doesn't belong at the party, he just wants to be with Brooke helping her at the library. He tries to prove himself yet again by going to the library to help Brooke. A newfound friendship is formed which made that plot especially eventful. Fez tries to get the girls' attention so he sings, only to get a beat down by the football players. Hyde continues to put on a show for the cheerleaders for Jackie. This shows how much he cares for Jackie, considering he would go to the party and go through all that torture for Jackie. Jackie comes in to self realization that she doesn't want to be a cheerleader anymore after she got offered again. So Hyde went through all of that for nothing, I'm glad Jackie is becoming more mature as a character. Jackie ends up rewarding Hyde by putting on a show for Hyde with the cheerleading outfit. Donna realizes that Eric isn't coming to get her, and gets incredibly mad at Eric and rushes down to the high school; only to find out she has fans that listen to Hot Donna. So Eric & Donna become the "power couple" at the Christmas party. Donna realizes she still is on the air, and goes running to the station at the last scene, a hilarious scene. Red is Santa at the mall, and he tells hilarious stories about war to the kids, which was hysterical! Bob tries to replace him and it becomes the battle of the Santas. Not a great plot, but entertaining. Kitty stole the show in that plot, with her quirky remarks. All plots were fantastic, eventful, entertaining, enjoyable, and holiday-themed. That 70s Show's best holiday episode and best episode of the season, definitely. An amazing episode with great plots that was hilarious.

Jingle bells, Jackie smells, a . . . chicken laid an egg! HEY! Merry Christmas!

Jackie is kicked off of the cheerleading squad, and asks Hyde to go to her Christmas Eve Dance with her to impress the head cheerleader. Eric, Kelso, and Fez decide to tag along while Hot Donna is at the radio station. Eric becomes smitten with fame when girls are at his feet. The guys say he's now cool since he's out of high school, and so are they. All of them enjoy the fame while it lasts. Red becomes a mall Santa.

Wow! I really loved this episode! It was hilarious, and I just love holiday episodes!
  • Another Christmas in the 70s...

This is a brilliant Christmas episode, with graduates being popular, Red being a Santa that talks about realistic issues rather than dream presents, and Kelso and Brooke getting along.

There are a lot of hilarious moments in this episode like Hyde’s popularity advice to Fez, Red talking Vietnam with the kiddies, and the end with Donna realising she’s left her radio post for hours. Jackie wanting to rejoin the cheerleading squad was pretty funny but not as great as the other sidesplitting ones.

All in all, this episode is certainly entertaining, with great lines from all the characters and a terrific ending.
  • I sometimes expect when christmas shows air that shows just pull out something to make a christmas episode. Well not this one I feel while it may have been an easy written story it was hillarious from start to finish. Easily the best holiday episode.

The episode takes place on christmas eve and Jackie gets kicked off the cheerleading squad. Jackie wants Hyde to go to the dance at the high school so she can use him to get back on the squad. Hyde agrees to go only if the rest of the gang tags along. When they get there they are suddenly the coolest people there. This ques in a great moment where they enter the dance while TNT by ACDC is playing. The other classic moment is when Fez is singing Blue Christmas and he gets tackled by the football team.
