Now, don't get me wrong, I love That '70s Show. But, I felt that the show ran a little too long, while the timeline of the show itself past three years (8 seasons detailing the years 1976 to 1979?) Well, I think the show should have run for at least 4 years (I guess, in tv time, would be at least five seasons.) Here's how that would have helped: no confusing timeline, no five christmases, no horrible eighth season.

    Season One-1976-77 (1998-99)

    Season Two-1977 (1999-00)

    Season Three-1977-78 (2000-01)

    Season Four-1978-79 (2001-02)

    Season Five-1979 (2002-03)

But, I would like see how you would have liked to see the show should have ran.

I think I would have been happy for the show to run for as long as they didn't change the crew.
Eric's and Michael's departure killed the show for me.

This show should have started in the beginning of 1970 so it would go on for 10 years without continuity issues. Of course, the show should have stopped if Eric & Kelso left but if they stayed, 10 good years 1970-80 would have been amazing.

That's...a great idea. Though, if it would have ran for 8 seasons, they should have set in 1974. Is that right?

    See:

    Season One: 1974-75 (1998-99)

    Season Two: 1975 (1999-00)

    Season Three: 1975-76 (2000-01)

    Season Four: 1976-77 (2001-02)

    Season Five: 1977 (2002-03)

    Season Six: 1977-78 (2003-04)

    Season Seven: 1978-79 (2004-05)

    Season Eight: 1979 (2005-06)

They would go streaking, drink beer, have sex, etc. if the show was set when they were 13
