I think it would be a bad idea! The public wouldn't go for it, and neither would the producers. Have you ever heard the term; let sleeping dogs lie. A reunion twenty years later of the same characters wouldn't be bad, but an entire series! No.

i wish that 80 show had never been made it sucks! but if they were able to make a that 70 show spin off it would have to be about the 80's

i'm kinda unsure. i mean the idea is pretty cool, but sometimes its kinda hard to get use to a new cast (example: that 80's show) but if they have that same humor that 70's show had then im all for it , but if they had the same cast it probably do well but they would be in their 30s and stuff. and t would be that same teenage comedy i remember.

If your wanna watch a 90's show, watch Saved By The Bell. Or watch any other show that took place in the 90's. not much of a difference, just better quality. Plus they made the show of the 70s cause it was like almost 40 years ago. So no It wouldn't be a good idea, but I would watch it if there was well-known actors or actresses. Thats about it.

I agree! I heard that 'That '80s Show' wasn't that great so I'm sure 'That '90s Show' would be worse.

In the future, like 5 or 10 years from now, I could see it. It would be a different cast and different characters, living in the conforming, I-don't-care-90s, when grunge was booming and backstreet boys roamed the earth. Tamagotchis, Snes and N64, the first Iraq war and the first Trade Center bombing, not to mention extasy, ginos, techno, Kurt Cobain's "suicide", Chris Farley's OD, and BS still wearing her Catholic-school-girl uniform.
    *Britney Spears

But if they made the show tomorrow, it wouldn't be popular. Nostalgia needs time to grow, and not enough time has passed.

Sorry to get fangirlish here, but omigod! You totally hit the nail on the head there.

Like, okay, think of in ten years someone's tried to make a "that 2000s" show. Would anyone laugh at Chuck Norris jokes? Or would we all hate ourselves?

Now, in 2040, yeah.. bring on the Chuck Norris jokes and the governator ones. I dig it.

i have to disagree on that, it would be more interesting if they had make a show from "now" time...

I thought "That '80s Show" had good potential, I liked the characters. But it turned out bad not because of the decade, but because of the writing. So many unfunny jokes.
I would love to see a "That '90s Show", because I loved the 90s, but whether it's gonna be good depends on the writers, could go either way.

They shouldn't of made that 80s' show, namely make a that '90s show. The only way I would watch it was if the whole cast came back, but Topher..he wouldn't come back.

No thanks, this show was a good idea that has now past its time. That's 90's show is "Friends", go watch it...

    Codeguru

PS- That 80's show, all I remember from that is a commercial with a guy using one of those "bulky" cell phones people whine about and make fun of because they are morons, and the joke was he was talking on a cell phone. Wow.....

If That '70s Show had taken place from 1971 to 1979 instead of starting only at 1976, we'd have half a thousand episodes and no one would be complaining for another show. Or I would, actually.

That 70's Show worked because it was a good show that just happened to be set in the 70's. That 80s Show focused on the era and didn't develop much of a plot or the characters so it was crappy. The quality of That 90s Show would depend on which one of those routes they took.

It just doesn't seem like the 90s qualify as nostalgia yet though.

It would have been cool because everyone remembers the nineties well the music and clothes we whore But in what year will the show start? 1993 1994 1995 1996? That 70's show started in 1976 it ran for 8 seasons so do the math. I wouldn't mind the same cast returned for a more mature comedy show, they can even hold on to the same names and characters. That could be a big success again.

I didn't understand what you meant when you said, "This show started in 1976, it ran for eight seasons. Do the math."
