Leo and Kelso are two different people, and I like Leo, hes one of the guys that made the show worth watching in the 8th season. But I don't think he would be a good replacement, because there just not the same people. I like them as there individual selves.

kelso and leo were both great charectors but i think replacing kelso with leo is better than getting a new charector/person all together, it would be replacing like half the cast if they kept getting new charectors

I think thier both equally stupid, but noone can replace Kelso's "BURN!" or his way of explaining things when people arent laughing (like when he was explaining the spinning door thing in 'Eric's Hot Cousin')

I don't think Leo was intended to be a replacement for Kelso. They both had their moments, but I have to admit, I liked Kelso a lot better.

The reason Kelso is more like than Leo, and subsequently a main character, is that Leo is only funny in limited doses. After hearing Leo say "man" one too many times, you could go insane, but Kelso's "burn" and ridiculous antics never really got old, even with the majority of the facetime in the later seasons...

Why would you think Leo replaced Kelso?  They were on the show at the same time.  They're both stupid, but they're totally different characters.  Leo was stupid in an "I'm always stoned" Cheech & Chong way, Kelso was stupid in a more physical/slapstick kind of way.

Also I agree that Leo/TC's comedic talents were much more limited than Kelso/AH's.

I've always thought of Randy as Kelso's replacement. Because Eric was the star of the show. Randy was not the star of the show. He was just one of the gang, like Kelso. Leo had been on the show before, so it was just him returning to his old position. The 8th season was a show without a star.

Even though I'm not a big Leo fan, I like that he returned to the show.

Yeah I know. Randy was kinda of the replacement for the guys that left. Leo has been around since the second season and was one of the main characters in season 4.

I don't think Leo was put there to replace Kelso. I think he was put there just because he was. He's been in that cast before and he was just returning 8th season. Now Randy was put as a replacement for Eric and Kelso and he sucked.

I love That 70's Show and Kelso but Tommy Chong's Comedic Talents arent "More Limited than Ashton's". Tommy Chong is A Comedic Legend.
