That '70s Show

Season 5 Episode 4

Heartbreaker (2) (a.k.a. Kitty's Parents Come to Visit)

Aired Sunday 8:00 PM Oct 29, 2002 on FOX

  • Trivia

    • The music used in this episode was:
      Heartless (1978) by Heart;
      How Long (1974) by Ace;
      Three Times A Lady (1978) by The Commodores.

    • During the flashback scenes of times when Hyde hit Kelso in the eye, Hyde had his beard in all of them. Since all of the first four episodes are in a continuous timeframe, those scenes could not have happened since Kelso came back from California. However, if they had happened before, Hyde would not have had the beard yet.

  • Quotes

    • (Eric and Red look up "Menopause" in the World Book)
      Eric: Oh no, look at the symptoms. Temperamental behaviour, mood swings, facial hair... Oh, Dad, I think you have menopause.

    • Hyde: Go ahead and hit me. Free shot.
      Kelso: You gonna hit me back?
      Hyde: No, man. That's why they call it a free shot.

    • Burt: Your mother just doesn't know how to talk to people. If she yells at you, she really means that she's sorry that you're upset. And if she breaks all your golf clubs, she means "Happy Anniversary."

    • Hyde: What's wrong with Mrs. Forman's parents?
      Kitty: Nothing, they're just... they're very complicated people who can't be summed up in a couple of words.
      Eric: Grandma yells, Grandpa drinks.
      Red: That pretty much summed it up.

    • (to Eric and Hyde, about selling the Corvette)
      Red: I'm about to sell something special to me because we're having another baby. And to do that, I have to believe that this child won't turn out a smart ass!

    • Donna: And when [Kelso] saw you guys kissing, he just fell apart. I mean, it was awful. And then he ran into the screen door.
      Jackie: Ohh. He's just so bad at doors.
