That '70s Show

Season 6 Episode 6

We're Not Gonna Take It

Aired Sunday 8:00 PM Dec 03, 2003 on FOX

  • Trivia

    • Donna: Eric... ixnay on Oanne-jay.
Eric: Donna, you know I don't understand Pig Latin.

What Donna is saying in Pig Latin is "Nix on Joanne", prompting Eric not to talk about Joanne.

      Donna: Ackass-jay.

Eric correctly deciphers this word as "Jackass".

    • Red picks up the box from the doorstep very easily as if it weighs hardly anything. The box is later revealed to contain a microwave. Presumably a very light microwave.

  • Quotes

    • Kelso: I need this job way more than you do; you don't have a baby on the way.
Eric: But I do have a family to support. And if I don't keep the booze flowing, they're going to get violent.
Kelso: Look, the only way Brooke is going to let me be a part of my kid's life is if I prove to her that I'm responsible, and a promotion at the restaurant would impress her. I mean, busboy's a job, but waiter is a career!

    • Fez: Hmm, the court house is across town. I wonder if you can make it all the way there without sleeping with someone?
Laurie: I bet I can make it there without sleeping with you.

    • (pretending to be a married couple with Hyde)
Roy: Waiter! It's our anniversary, and this wine is no good.
Kelso: Hey, you got a lot of more problems than the wine. You are one ugly broad.
Roy: I do not appreciate your tone!
Kelso: My tone? (to Hyde) Dude, your wife's a bitch.

    • Roy (making an order): Want surf and turf, no seafood, nice and pink, mashed potatoes not mashed, sliced into wedges and fried up.
      Kelso (to Hyde): One cheeseburger.

    • Eric: I'm going to get a high-paying job.
Red: Yeah, why don't you just go down to the 'Bureau of High-Paying Jobs'? It's right next to the 'Pie In The Sky' office.

    • Roy: Eric, you're hired.
Eric: Thank you, Roy. This is like a dream...a really...mediocre dream!

    • Red: You told her about the marriage? We agreed never to speak of this evil to anyone!
Kitty: Well, I had to tell a few people because I never thought I'd be able to say "Laurie got married" without adding "and the baby came early".

    • Kitty: There's nothing like a present wrapped in beautiful paper. It's like Cary Grant in a tuxedo, I just want to rip it off!

  • Notes

    • Jim Gaffigan (Roy) was credited as "Special Guest Appearance".

    • It was rumored that Joanne would marry Bob around the same time Eric and Donna got married as the shocker ending for this season finale, but due to Mo Gaffney being busy with her role on the WB's Run of the House, FOX wrote her character off the series, having her fire Eric from the dogfood factory and break up with Bob.
