The music used in this episode was:
Don't Pull Your Love (Out) (1971) by Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds
When Red becomes nice he mistakenly calls Fez "Sabu."
Hyde: Kelso, remember that time you thought you saw the abominable snowman?
Hyde: Do you remember what it turned out to be?
Kelso: Just a regular snowman.
Bob: Red I'm so sorry. It was an accident.
Red: I never thought I would say this. I'm glad you're my friend.
(Red hugs Bob)
Bob: Red, I never thought I would say this. You smell nice.
Kitty: Well Red Forman, I never heard you use fun, friends and party all in the same sentence.
Hyde: Wait, here's one, "Hey Eric, I sure had fun ruining that party you had for you and your friends."
Red: That was fun.
Leo: I saw a UFO once. It was in the air with a message in big bright yellow letters. It told me to 'Have A Good Year.'
(the guys try not to laugh)
Hyde: Hey Leo, by any chance was this at a football game?
Leo: Yeah, I was the only one freaking out about it. Wait a minute, good year? It was a terrible year, man.
Red: When I die, I want to be buried face down, so that way, whoever doesn't like me can kiss my ass!
The theme song sequence is changed slightly.
(Hyde is building a mountain out of mashed potatoes on his dinner plate)
Hyde: This means something, this is important.
Kitty: Well, this is a close encounter of the potato kind!
Hyde's mountain of mashed potatoes mimics Richard Dreyfuss's actions in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977). Later on, when the guys are lying in the field watching the sky, they also mimic the music from the movie.
