Love the show until 2 women my and I may not change course of plot...
  • I'm trying hard

    5.0
This series started with some weak acting and turned pretty bad sometimes, but with the added effort of the screenwriters, producers, some good acting and a lot of good will from the audience, the story is coming along and the show is growing up.

    Now, seriously... (spoiler

'let's them bomb us so they don't find out we have a spy' and then everyone figuring out and repeating that 'she knew about the attack'- thing is the most ridiculous piece of a script I've ever seen. Quite a deal breaker - I hope they end this part of the plot right away, it makes me wish to throw something at the screen.moreless
  • The 100 is Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

    10
This tv show has become my life. I'm dead serious. I've read the books and pre-ordered the new one coming out of February 24th. This tv show is one of those rare cases where the show is better than the book. The writers have made some very good decisions when it comes to changes to the plot. I love that the Bellarke ship is taking it slow. They are my otp. I honestly have a lot of ships but they are the pairing that I am most excited about. The actors are amazing, soooo talnted! I make a prayer every night that they keep up the good work and keep renewing the show.moreless
  • Better than the book

    9.0
The 100 is one of those extremely rare cases where the TV series/Film is actually better than the books. I just finished the first book and all I can feel/say is "Meh". The world in the TV series feels much bigger and deeper than it does in the first book. Never has the meaning of "the book is the book, the film is a film" made more sense. They have little in common, and should be seen as two entirely different series, just like Game of Thrones and A Song of Fire and Ice are their own stories. The only thing The 100 TV series and books have in common is the title and some of the character names and premise.

Either way, The 100 on TV is great, the book is all around good - but not great.

The first book is comprised of introductions to the characters, the world of the colony and earth. Its riddled of flashbacks, character jumping in way too short chapters that becomes tedious after a while and you're left with no time to get to liking any of the characters. Its like all those tacky series after Lost, that tried to ride the success, but not having the actual writing skills or imagination to pull it off perfectly. By the time you've gotten to know the world and characters, its the end.

The thing that makes me the most happy, is the fact that they got rid of the characters Glass & Luke. I cannot stress this enough; their storyline is riddled with cliche romance and naivety, martyrdom and absolutely boring personalities.

That isn't to say I didn't enjoy the first book, just that it has nothing on the TV series and its only a third of the length of a regular book.moreless
  • Very good story

    10
I most enjoy the fact that there is no pandering to the black community, maybe they all ended up in the 13th colony. I see a lot of racial diversity in this program, it is silly to think that after a few generations in space there are no mixed race birthings going on. If the cast were all blonde hair and blue eyed there might be reason to throw up arms.

I'm hoping the Ice Nation is made up primarily of North American Natives, that is a group that gets next to zero time on the TV.

It is unfortunate that there is so much time between seasons, but it is on netflix so easy to rewatch and maybe pick up on some missed storyline.

Great job WB, this is an absolute winner. The rating thing doesn't seem to work, I give this show a 10.
