A The 100 Community
Wednesday 9:00 PM on The CW (Returning February 1, 2017)
The 100 season finale was a roller coaster of emotions. I was worried, touched, scared for my favorite characters (everyone in the show basically) and I actually expected/prepared myself for several of them to die.

The episode began with Finn, Clarke and Bellamy talking to Raven about leaving the camp. She was badly injured and couldn't move. So someone would have to carry her.

For some reason Bellamy decided to take his angst out on Finn as if he was the only one who wanted to leave instead of fighting.
aa1 a2
Bellamy: "Can't run away fast enough, huh? Real brave.
"
Finn: "Dying in a fight you can't win isn't brave Bellamy. It's stupid."

Bellamy: "Spoken like every coward who's ever run from a fight."

Oh Belle.

Don't get me wrong, I live for the tension between amazing characters like them and I love how different they are from each other even though they both care a lot about the people around them and they're doing their best to protect them in their own ways.

But thank GOD Clarke put an end to it with her "ARE YOU GUYS DONE BEING KIDS???"
Just look at her face: So done.
a3

Trust me, if it wasn't for Clarke (and Raven & Octavia) these guys would maybe last two days.

On a serious note though, I love how this show breaks down the image of always righteous, perfect heroes and gives us broken, selfish, immature people who can be selfless and courageous instead. The contrast between these characters is what makes them real.

Moving on, Finn says Bellamy can just stay behind if he wants to (oh Finn)
a4
Which makes Bellamy sad.a56
But it's not okay. Clarke moves in real close as she always does when she needs to convince him.
a7
a6

She basically tells him that people look up to him for inspiration and everyone might end up dead anyway so maybe he should just come along.

They leave the camp and start walking in slow motion epic and sad music.

Then they get attacked and the dude who talks about going to surfing dies. (He had it coming.)

They return to camp and they argue again whether they should stay and fight. Finn and Octavia try to convince Clarke to leave and try again but Bellamy is like:

She says he gets the fight he wanted and Finn & Octavia are upset as the idealistic peace keapers they are.
dsdsdsaadskldldlsdsds kfmdslfmdslfs
(That could actually be the title of her biography)

Then they actually talk about their plan which is to hold the gate and keep grounders from coming inside but Raven comes up with a solution (Like I said, without these ladies they would all die ten episodes ago)

In the ark they explain how they can survive landing (or not) but Jaha tells them it's their only chance to survive at all.

Back at the camp Raven tells Clarke and Finn that she can't feel her legs and Clarke says she's bleeding internally.
ddsddsdssd
Finn decides to go to Lincoln's cave and find the cure to slow down her bleeding.
DFMFLD
Raven doesn't want him to risk his life for her.
DFLMDLSGSQWSDKLFNDKSF
But he tells her everyone will die without her (Truth) and she accepts it.

Clarke and Finn have a small moment of "I can't lose you for the 4th time this season".
avlcsnap-2014-06-14-00h49m29s14 avlcsnap-2014-06-14-00h49m25s233a12

Then we're back at the ark and they're getting ready to launch but it doesn't work and someone has to do it manually. So a hero slowly rises and greets his people for the last time. Abby doesn't like that.
sdlgkmdslgsksk klklkla14
Of course Jaha just leaves without making a show (maybe learn something, Kane) and saves everyone.

At the camp our delinquents get ready to shoot some grounders and Raven is guiding Clarke to find the right wires.
dkdkf
Raven tells her she used to be picked first for everything and now not so much.
a15ravesclarkes dklfskdsldksld

-Hey Raven, I’d pick you first.
-Of course you would. I’m awesome.

May I just say how happy I am that this show didn’t undermine these characters and make them attack one another because of a male character? Instead they’ve been trusting, caring and extremely supportive of each other. Do you realize how rare that is?
Thank youThe 100 writers.

Later the girls need Jasper to splice the wire while he realizes that the grounders were making them waste bullets. (I thought Bellamy would figure that out with them just running around but okay)

Then the grounders actually attacked and Octavia was shot with an arrow.

In the meantime Finn was looking through Lincoln's stuff (rude) and Lincoln came. When he told him what was happening Lincoln not only gave him the medicine but also decided to come along to help (amazing guy.)

Then Finn saw a reaper drawing in the ground and had a "really bad" idea. (Which was actually more desperate than bad in my opinion)

Back at the camp Raven's situation was getting worse.
dfcccl
Reapers were chasing Finn and Lincoln to the camp where the grounders were very happy to see them. Except not really. So they just kind of attacked each other.
So Finn's plan had worked.

Bellamy couldn't carry Octavia to the camp while the grounders and the reapers were fighting so Lincoln was right on time. He'd take her to somewhere safe so Bellamy could go back to camp.

They emotionally said goodbye (hopefully for the time being.)

dude, why does Bellamy have to be so majestically amazing?! but one question, when Finn shoots at Tristan the first time when he's attacking Bellamy why doesn't he just shoot him in the head and then he and Bellamy both run to the drop ship and make it alive? :( though i can't wait for season 2, SOOO many questions!!!

I'm rooting for Clarke & FInn to be together. As for how the show ended Season 1.... i don't know how to feel about that cause it doesn't really make a lot of sense that they ended in white rooms after all that happened.....but that could just be me. I will be watching Season 2 though - no question about that.

Not everyone are savages. Killing prisoners isn't widely accepted in any culture (unless you're ISIS), the same way our delinquents didn't kill Anya (of course she wanted to kill her and Finn, but still), it's kind of like shooting someone who is already down (yep, sounds like our people) so the mountain men took them instead. It's interesting to see if it because of an experiment or because they're afraid they're sick or whatever. Monty is still alive, clearly. Very curious about the mountain people, especially why they are so more advanced than everyone else!

I decided to check this show out because of your recaps for Penny Dreadful, and just finished watching today. I normally don't bother with pre-/post-/mid-apocalypse stories, but I agree that this one is well done and I like the characters. (plus, no zombies! they're like the bacon of the entertainment world, in Every Damn Thing whether you like it or not)

And your recap was a delight :) You keep making them and we'll keep reading them, ok?

I waited the shows to get renewed and then started watching them to avoid disaapointed. Doesn't this show remind you of Terra Nova. Loved that too

Great recap :) Really funny :)

I also don't think Finn and Bellamy are dead, probably it would be an opportunity to build their relationship while they try to rescue the other people in the white rooms. How many white rooms do they have there? So many questions!

also someone needs to tell the ark survivors they lived through the battle so here's hoping! i find it hard to believe they'd kill them both off. besides the way i see it, no on screen death and no body means no problems.

Yup, at least we didn't see them die, but I can't trust the show to be merciful enough to keep both of them (or any of the characters) alive for long. I hope next season doesn't start with a death. For some reason I fear for Finn. Bellamy feels safe though.

Thank you, I really hope they're both safe because they're really good characters and it would be a lot of fun to watch them work together. And about the questions, thankfully we have another season! It would always bother me if the story ended here.

Just a brilliant recap, you addressed every thing. I can't wait until next season and I was praying for it to have a second season. This show is very different than anything the CW is doing right now in a lot of ways it takes a darker and more grown up approach to a lot of issues and concidering this show is based around teenagers I was very impressed, especially how they've handled the whole Clark, raven and Finn romance they did what Teen Wolf did and didn't make it an issue and just moved on from the whole thing.

Thank you, And I'm still surprised that this show is actually on CW. It doesn't merely run on romance, actually has a plot, doesn't manipulate the characters for fanservice. I'm also happy with how they treated the female characters so far, as well as making everyone very human. Even Murphy's motives and actions are understandable (although not necessarily reasonable or justified) to a degree. Everyone is flawed and has depth. That's the best thing about the show.

I agree they're real, with very real problems and how they've made each character distinctively different and there own is brilliant to see. They also tackled the grounders so perfectly they didn't just make these evil creatures who are out for blood, they made them human and are surviving by protecting their own, they've only reacted to what they perceived as an act of war. We have Clark, Raven, Octavia, Abby and now Anya who are all very strong independent woman who don't rely on a male character for there decisions.

Exactly, let's hope the next season also keeps raising expectations like this one.

Now the roles are reversed. The grown-ups are camping in the wilderness and the Hundred are trapped in somewhat of a "new Ark". Maybe these Mountain Men have technology to beam Thelonius down from space or something. Then they can put him on trial and blame him for the Exodus crash. Before you know it, this show will be a legal drama with teen defense lawyers!

jajajajaj Awesome recap!!!
I think that was Clarke who made the "ringoffire plan"... but anyway it's was a girl
It's amazing how Clarke can look at Bellamy and do whatever she wants!!! Good for her!!
I don't like the end... this new "modern" facility... I prefered the woods!!! But it's good to have Anya there, because She's there...no??

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. =)

I think she's there but who knows? We'll have to wait for next season.

I reckon Anya's there. Also think she becomes a quasi-ally as they try to escape or something.

Hopefully she'll have joined our team next season. They could use another bamf.

Found this via tumblr, totally makes my night. Also, 1000 percent accurate, esp. the Clarke/Raven stuff. Love them individually, love them together. If The 100 becomes a Clarke/Raven buddy cop style show, I wouldn't be mad.

Also: "They told Jaha what it was like to an extent that I expected them to say "THIS PLACE IS AMAZINNGG JA, YOU SHOULD BE HERE" "

...Abby actually DID say that, right? My ears did not deceive me? I swear, when she was telling Jaha about how awesome it was, she was really quietly like, *whispers*youshouldbehere. I remember because I gasped. Like, WOW ABBY INSENSITIVE.

Anyway, great stuff. Love the recap.

Thank you, I just rewatched the scene and she actually whispers that!? Oh Abby. *hands her a sensitivity medal* I guess I was remembering exactly what happened because the scene clearly didn't need a joke.
Poor Jaha.

I heard it more as "it's just not complete without you here" rather than "dude, you should totally try this if you get the chance! {o wait}"...

Like bstokeling91 said, I'm also hoping that there's a way for him to survive since he's not dead at the end of this season. But I love that he is keeping the prospect of arriving in the afterlife with Wells in his heart as he tries to process all this.

Perfect, OzgeB, just perfect. Very funny and still close to the action - great recap! What's Jahar going to do now? On that doughnut of his?
