(Conversation between Major Carsten and Captain Walner at Pearl Harbor.)
Carsten: This isn't part of our base Captain, but in view of our conversation in my office, I thought you should see it. That's why I don't trust them. I could never forget that day and what they did then and all the years that followed. Everytime I hear about one of those devils, I get blazing mad all over again.
Walner: But alot of those devils are dead. Besides we fought that war Major, and we won it.
Carsten: That's the trouble with us Americans, we're too soft. We forget, we forgive but not I. And we'll live to regret this weakness someday.
Walner: Is it a weakness Sir?
Carsten: Why we've even let them return here. Honolulu was rid of them once and we've let them sneak back in. Taking over our households, they're ruling our lives. I don't like it. And I don't like them.
Walner: But Major I'm afraid you're generalizing again.
Carsten: Am I? Well I've applied for a transfer. I'll go anywhere I won't be running into some Gook face everytime I step off the post.
Walner: My wife and I lived in Japan and believe me Sir, they aren't anything like you think they are.
Carsten: Take your blinders off Captain before it's too late. Shall we head back to the post?
Walner: Yes Sir.
