The 8:15 from Manchester

Show Summary

A British children's magazine programme presented by Ross King and Charlotte Hindle. They were later joined by Dianne Oxberry, now a BBC weather presenter. The show was one of many Saturday morning magazine shows featuring live interviews, cartoons, music performances and competitions. It was produced by BBC North from their Oxford Road studios in Manchester, hence the name. The title song was famously performed by 'Madchester' band The Inspiral Carpets. The 8:15 from Manchester was the first BBC show for many years to host re-runs of the children's comedy Rent-A-Ghost, and also featured Rude Dog and the Dweebs, Defenders of the Earth and The Jetsons.
