Murdock: It's early in the a.m. The city was quiet. Officer Baracus and I had been assigned to patrol. The city was at peace with itself. But it wasn't gonna be that way for long. And when the peace is broken, that's when I go to work. I wear a badge.
This is Murdock's imitation of Jack Webb's voice-overs on Dragnet, which ran on NBC radio from 1949-57 and NBC television from 1951-59 and 1967-70.
