I did like the scene with Murdock and the horses. Murdock was my favorite character in this series. And what can you say about the work they did with Amy\'s Le Car. I bet that hurt the gas mileage on it amoung other things. Maybe they ought to take a little more money to get Amy a new car.

  • TRIVIA (9)

    • In the second tractor-trailer truck, B.A., Amy, and Ellen drive past a sign for U.S. 16 South. U.S. 16 is actually an east-west highway in Wyoming and South Dakota.

    • Goof: When Easterland calls his guys for backup, he says, "Milt, they're coming south, and they mean business. You boys get down here and give us a hand." That would mean that the backup is coming from the northern roadblock, and that B.A. is headed north in the second tractor-trailer truck. That would be consistent with Face's discovery that watermelons are selling for 43 cents more per bushel in 'Frisco.

However, when Easterland discovers Hannibal's ploy, he tells his men, "They're heading south. I pulled that roadblock."

    • The ambulance that rushes Penhall to the hospital after his tractor-trailer crash passes by a building that has a CLMG logo on the side. That building is located at 2222 Ocean View Avenue in Los Angeles (and CLMG still has a lab there).

    • When Easterland asks Whit which way Penhall went, Whit says, "He's taking I-16, south." I-16 is in Georgia, not California.

    • In the opening scene, Joe Penhall loads a crate into the tractor-trailer truck; written on the side of the crate is "Colton & Wood." Colton & Wood is a fruit and vegetable wholesaler in Los Angeles; they are still in business, and they still have the same phone number (as the one on the side of the crate).

In the background of the same shot is a crate stamped with "Shapiro Gilman Shandler," which is a fruit and vegetable market in Los Angeles. They are also still in business -- and at the same address -- however, their phone number has changed.

Later, as Hannibal and Murdock load the watermelons, Hannibal picks up a crate labeled "John Livacich," a produce wholesaler who is still in business (and still has the same phone number).

    • Continuity error: After Hannibal throws the melon and breaks the pickup's windshield, we see it flip over and crash with the windshield intact.

    • Goof:
During the climactic chase, Hannibal drops a watermelon that smashes through the windshield of a pickup truck. The truck subsequently goes out of control and crashes, but during the crash the windshield is somehow completely in place.

    • Goof:
When Amy lends her new car to the team the Le Car that was on the side has disappeared.

    • Goof:
Variable weather (from rain to dusty sun in the blink of an eye) during Mr. Easterland's roadblock fiasco.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Hannibal: Murdock, B.A. take the right. Face, stay with me.
Face: Ahh, Hannibal, if we're gonna fight, I'd really prefer to be teamed with B.A.
      Murdock: Me too.
Hannibal: Are you guys saying you don't wanna team up with me? Face: Yes.
      Murdock: Yes.
      Hannibal: Why?
B.A.: I'll tell you why. Because when you're on the jazz, man, you're dangerous!

    • Ellen: Who are you?
B.A.: I'm B.A. Baracus, and I'm here to pick up your crops!

    • Ellen: This whole plan sounded ridiculous from the start; I should have known it wouldn't work out right.
Amy: Hannibal's plans never work right. They just work.

    • Face: Murdock, can you see?
Murdock: I can't even see your teeth!

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • While in the tractor-trailer caravan, Murdock grabs the walkie-talkie and begins narrating an imaginary race in which he mentions "Alydar."
Alydar was a successful racehorse in the late 1970s, though he is perhaps most famous for coming in second to Affirmed in all three races of the 1978 Triple Crown.

    • Before climbing into one of the tractor-trailer trucks, Murdock does a John Wayne impression: "All right. Head 'em up and move 'em out."
