The main thing I remember about this show was how genuine and sweet the relationship seemed between TK and her grandfather. (I may have fallen in love with Jodie Foster while watching her here!)
Jodie Foster's character seemed like a fun girl to have made friends with, but her best qualities came out when dealing with her grandfather's failing health and her realization that he might soon die. As they become friends, T. K. and her grandfather seem to become more alike. To my young mind, this was a very good portrayal of growing maturity and developing understanding of our mortality.
