The 83rd Annual Academy Awards have come and gone. I was excited for the prospect of James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosting, two actors that I like and hoped would bring energy to a dull awards show, but they were not able to do so. The material was not there, but neither did a good job with what they were given anyway. The event was just a bore in my mind.
The King's Speech was the big winner here. I am glad The Social Network did not win, but honestly, this was an incredibly weak field this year. Natalie Portman winning an Oscar is an absolute joke, but I digress.
