Also contributing to the submission below, since ice is water in a solid form, and the human body is composed of approximately 90% water, it would be impossible to be allergic to water, because he would be allergic to himself. Of course, the possibility of being allergic to anything and everything is a constant running gag of the Wheezer family
If Mr. Wheezer is allergic to ice, how does he survive winter?
When Cindy pushes Jimmy, her twonkie is pink, but after that, Isabella is green.
Jimmy: How did you guys get in...
Carl: (pessimistically) Bag of your hair. (holds up bag)
Jimmy: Well, how did you guys get a bag of my... never mind.
Jimmy: Guys! This isn't the time for blame. If it were I'd be saying things like "I tried to tell you" and "Why didn't you jerks listen to me?"
Sheen: Too bad you didn't get anything from the comet to make me feel better....
Jimmy: Nope, I sure didn't! So anyway, Goddard hits him with the ion blast, and it doesn't even phase him! So then I said, "Hit him with a particle beam!"--
Sheen: So you're sayin' I should battle the eight foot monster of rejection with a particle beam of my amazing talents?!
Jimmy: ...No, not exactly.
Sheen: I'll do it! (proudly walks off)
Jimmy: (sighing) I have to work on my story-telling skills....
Sheen: Please let me in the chorus! My voice grows on you!
Miss Fowl: So do liver spots, but I don't make you look at them! (laughs)
Willoughby: (trying not to laugh) Now, Miss Fowl, that's not funny. (starts to laugh) Okay, okay, it was a little funny....
Sheen: (offended) I have half a mind to report you!
Willoughby: Half a mind? No wonder you can't sing!
(Sheen stalks off as Willoughby and Miss Fowl laugh harder)
Willoughby: (finally recovers from laughing) We are so fired.
Willoughby: Look, Sheen, as chorus master, I know talent--
Miss Fowl: And that's what you have - no talent!
(after Jimmy blasts off for his date with Twonkus-3)
Sheen: So, what'd I miss?
Carl: Oh, Jimmy's dating a comet, and I have to go sniff animals. (leaves to go to the pet store)
Sheen: And they say I'm the weird one.
Graystar is a real band.
First appearance of Flippy.
Sheen is in an action figure support group, and they meet on Tuesdays.
Mr. Wheezer is allergic to ice.
Sheen REALLY can't sing.
This special is a spoof of Gremlins and Critters.
The twonkies reproduce by spitting smaller twonkies out.
Cindy is in the chorus.
The twonkies look a lot like protopets from the game Ratchet and Clank 2.
A "twonky" is actually a futuristic device (left in the present by time travelers) with a life of its own. It was originally from a 1942 short story called "The Twonky" by Lewis Padgett (Henry Kuttner and C. L. Moore). It was made into a sci-fi satire film in 1953, about a walking TV set that causes bizarre things to happen. At the film's end, the Twonky is destroyed, but more Twonkies emerge from its remains (an inspiration for many films, especially Gremlins)!
This special can be seen on the DVD Attack of the Twonkies.
Nick can sing in a sweet, velvety, German voice.
Graystar: Name and Appearance
The band name in the episode was taken from the real band Graystar, consisting of Dominic James (lead vocals), Craige Finnie (lead guitar), Niel Hartly (drum/precussion), Tim Dyer (keyboards), and John Reynolds (bass). In the episode the band is more of a punk/rock band though.
When Jimmy drops Hugh off at the grocery store, Hugh floats down with an umbrella, the same way Mary Poppins used to do.
Jimmy: Atomic batteries to power ... turbines to speed....
In Batman, Robin would say this before the Batmobile started up.
Willoughby: (singing) Library! We've got the cutest little library.... The books are stacked by author, A-Z, and all for free!
Willoughby's song was to the tune of Brenda Lee's "Baby Face."
Jimmy's Rocket Concert Piece
The music that Jimmy is playing inside the rocket is Boccerini's "Minuet in A Major."
