  • A pure comedic gem for kids. I get a kick out of it too.

Carl once again proved that he is the king of the Weird One Liners. My son cracks up everytime that char opens his mouth. The whole series including the movie are great because I can stomach them as well. Which is important on lazy, rainy Sundays.

    Viva Carl! Viva Llamas!!
  • Jimmy accidently shrinks the town

Not bad, this episode wasn't my favorite, but it had enough good quotes and sheen stuff so that I would give it a thumbs up overall. The lizard alien guys were pretty cool, but I liked them better in league of villans. There could have been more JC, but then again every episode would be better with JC
  • Zix, Travoltron, and Tee return.

Jimmy gets tired of people calling him short, so he trys to make himself taller when a tiny accident happens and the entire human population of retroville become the size of ants. While Jimmy trys to make a resizing ray, Zix, Travoltron, and Tee land on earth in their new space ship. They take Jimmy and the rest into space to be sold as toys.

The episode has many aspects, humor being the main one. There have been alot of different shrinking episodes from different shows, this one was unique.moreless
  • It's just decent. Jimmy shrinks the entire town and three aliens take them.

It was something to watch and take up thirty minutes, but that is all that it was. Don't get me wrong, I think the episode was good, it just didn't live up to all of the other ones. The epiode, though, didn't seem to lack much of what is expected from the show.
  • Amazing.

I couldn't believe how good this episode was. The town shrinking was an idea nobody has used yet (except Spongebob, but that wasn't a very exciting episode) and it was funny how they had to do everything as tiny people the size of ants, because of Jimmy's size invnetion got messed up. I loved it. Loved it a lot. If you don't like this episode, or the show, you really need to watch some decnet shows!moreless

  • TRIVIA (6)

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Sheen: Hey, Jimmy, did your shrink ray effect birds too?
Jimmy: No, just humans. Birds and animals remain normal sized.
Sheen: Oh. (referring to a hawk above them) Then that cute normal sized bird is about to eat us!

    • Judy: (to Zix) Does your mother know you're doing this?
Zix: No, but when she gets out of prison, I'll tell her.

    • Tee: (points at Carl) That one looks nice and juicy!
Carl: (runs away scared, hides behind a stuffed chest) Please don't eat me! I'm-not-nice-and-juicy! (mumbling) Really, I'm nice... (screams and hides) BUT I'M NOT JUICY! (mumbling) Well maybe I am with a little salt and peppero--
      Zix: Not eating the merchandise!

    • Nick: (While choosing basketball teams) Shine.
Sheen: Yes, I am so not the last guy!

    • Carl: Mmmh... I guess I could be a toy. How does this sound? (imitates a toy soldier) My name is Carl, and I want to play with you.
Libby: That's a 10 on the creepy scale.

    • Sheen: (After hearing Jimmy's plan) What's a conscience?
Carl: Oh, I know! It's a cute little cricket with a hat and he sings and hangs out with puppets.

    • Jimmy: (about Sheen and Carl) I really need to expand my circle of friends.

    • Cindy: Now listen, Neutron! You better--
Carl: (imitating Mrs. Vortex's voice) Cynthia Vortex! Come over here and help your mother clean up Humprey's extremely large puppy poopoo!

    • Jimmy: (angry) Did you just called me small fry?!

    • Jimmy: (to Sheen and Carl) Everybody on Goddard!
Ticket vendor: What about me? Take me with you!
Jimmy: Sorry, you have to be (put his hand up to about his own height)this tall to ride my dog.

    • Butch: Okay, listen up. Time to choose up sides for B-ball. Okay, I'd like all the short kids (Jimmy, Carl and Sheen gasp) to get the heck out of the way while I pick all the tall kids! (Jimmy's, Carl's and Sheen's faces drop)

  • ALLUSIONS (10)

    • Movie Background

When the shrunken Judy and Hugh (Jimmy's parents) pretend to have a drive-in with the TV, the 1939 Fleischer/Paramount cartoon feature Gulliver's Travels
plays on the TV. The scene used spoils a similarity in some of the plot later in the episode, where Gulliver picks up Gabby.

    • Reference: Music

The background music in Jimmy's flashback about him being short is an allusion to the song "Short People" by Randy Newman.

    • Reference: Music

When Carl was thinking about what life would be like small, the music in the background is similar to a song by the artist Outcast. The song was "Hey Ya".

    • Carl: Oh, I know! It's a cute little cricket with a hat and he sings and hangs out with puppets.

This is a reference to Jiminy Cricket from the children's novel Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.

    • Sheen: We aren't the kids you're lookin for!

When Jimmy, Sheen, and Carl are hiding in a luchbox from Travoltron, Sheen says " We aren't the kids your looking for"and then says "move along". This "mind trick" that Sheen uses on Travoltron, is similiar to the mind trick, Obi-Wan Kenobi uses on some Stormtroopers in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

    • Jimmy: I am not a toy, I'm a human being.

This is a reference to the Elephant man with "I am not an animal".

    • Libby: (dances)

After pushing the button, Libby does the dance from M.C. Hammer.

    • Carl: Hi, I'm Carl. Will you play with me?

This is a spoof of Chucky's line "Hi I'm Chucky. Wanna play?"

    • Incredible Shrinking Town: Plot

This episode has spoofs from the movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids .

    • Incredible Shrinking Town: Title

Reference to the movie "The Incredible Shrinking Man"
