    • TRIVIA (5)

      • Starting with this episode, Nona (Michelle Trachtenberg) is listed in the opening montage as part of the main cast.

      • Goof: Towards the middle of the episode the mom calls and tells the older Pete they'll be home the next day at 7:00. Following that, older Pete says that they have 21 hours left. Even though, the mom just says 7:00, not indicating AM/PM, it looks like the family at the dinner table is eating dinner (as you can see celery on one dish and assuming to Old Pete's comment they are eating the casserole). So who eats a casserole/celery at 10am or how can it be daylight out at 10pm?

      • The scene of Mr. Wrigley burning the chicken is used in the opening theme for season 3.

      • The ending scene with Mr. Wrigley chasing the Petes down the road is similar to the opening scene from one of the first P&P shorts "What Would You Do for a Dollar?".

      • While riding in the race, the close-up footage of Little Pete has obviously been flipped. His number 'Krebstar 28' is backwards, saying 'ratsberK 82'.

    • QUOTES (5)

    • NOTES (2)

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • The scene where Big Pete asks Endless Mike for help getting the house back is a send up of a famous scene in The Godfather of Don Corleone granting favors at his daughter's wedding. The music is even very similar to the corresponding scene from the film.

      • The 8-track the Petes play says the band name is "Kreb Zepplin", an obvious nod to the rock band Led Zepplin.

      • Mrs. Kretchmar:
Patty Hearst is the granddaughter of newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst. In the 1970's she was kidnapped by a radical group called the Symbionese Liberation Army, or the SLA, whose goal was "Death seven-headed fascist insect which preys upon the life of the people!" The SLA demanded $2 billion, and then $6 billion in food to be given to the needy before discussing Hearst's return. However, two months after being kidnapped, Patty was photographed robbing a bank with the SLA carrying a machine gun. She had changed her name to "Tania" and had joined the group. The photo became popular in poster form, as she looks rather striking in it. She was eventually convicted and imprisioned for the robbery, but apparently by 1996 she was living on the East Coast somewhere. Sure is a strange person to pick for an obscenely nice mom on a kid's show.
