Some of the KrebStar vending products include meats from around the world, Moisty Naps (premoistened towelettes), and airline tickets.
From this episode, we learn that Wayne is partial to Englebert Humperdinck, or at least the crooner's sideburned haircut.
The movie (and rumored to be based on the Pete and Pete series) Snow Day follows a plot similar to this episode, in which a snow plower tries to ruin the neighborhood kids' snow day.
Michelle Trachtenburg (Nona Mecklenburg) does not appear in this episode.
In this episode, Ellen gets mad when she receives a B and states that she's never gotten anything lower than an A. But previously in "Tool and Die" she gets a B on one of her projects from Mr. Slurm.
Big Pete is only present in this episode as the narrator.
When we see Schwinger's car pulling out of the parking lot, you can clearly see that it's only a remote-controlled car.
This highly Nona-centric episode is probably the only episode of Pete and Pete in which the main focus is not one of the Petes, with the possible exception of "X=Why?".
This is the only season episode narrated by Little Pete rather than Big Pete.
The scenes with Little Pete sliding down the hallway and Nona dancing are used in the opening theme for season 3.

Goof: Towards the middle of the episode the mom calls and tells the older Pete they'll be home the next day at 7:00. Following that, older Pete says that they have 21 hours left. Even though, the mom just says 7:00, not indicating AM/PM, it looks like the family at the dinner table is eating dinner (as you can see celery on one dish and assuming to Old Pete's comment they are eating the casserole). So who eats a casserole/celery at 10am or how can it be daylight out at 10pm?
The scene of Mr. Wrigley burning the chicken is used in the opening theme for season 3.
The ending scene with Mr. Wrigley chasing the Petes down the road is similar to the opening scene from one of the first P&P shorts "What Would You Do for a Dollar?".
