    • TRIVIA (3)

      • This is the first episode that displays Superboy's vulnerability to spells/magic.

      • When Superboy rolls away from the witch's staff, you can tell by the "S" emblem on his shirt that he's wearing the Christopher Reeve costume from the Superman movies (since some of the people that worked on the movies also worked on Superboy).

      • The producers tried saving some money in this episode, leading to a pair of goofs during Clark Kent's first change into Superboy. After asking T.J. to drop him off at the side of the road, Clark jumps on a skateboard and quickly rides it towards the camera. As he crouches down to take off, there are several quick, close-up flashes of Clark's hands ripping open his shirt to reveal the "S" -- but it's stock footage from the shirt rip in "The Beast and the Beauty." The shirt he was wearing in that episode was a light blue button down. But in this scene, he's wearing a white button down with thin black stripes. The scene also suddenly jumps to a fully transformed Superboy flying off the skateboard into the sky -- but the lighting has clearly changed, making it obvious that this scene was shot later in the day (or at a completely different time).
