      • Ma Kent calls Clark on the phone and is heard ("Are you thinking of becoming Superboy?"), but not seen -- the role had probably not yet been cast. Edit
      • Since this was originally supposed to be the pilot episode, the opening credits are the same as the earlier episodes (Superboy flying without any clips of past episodes). The episode before and and after this have the new opening credits sequence. Edit
      • This episode was actually aired in two different versions. The first was a complete story told in the present. The second version featured new footage and the original story was told as a flashback. The original version also contained at least 2 minutes of footage that was later cut. Edit
