This episode is presented in the format of a nightly news show similar to "Nightline". An anchorman delivers most of the information about Superboy's apparent death, and the show's main characters are seen only in short "live" interview segments.

This was originally meant to be the final episode of the series. The episode was to end on a cliffhanger, and a TV movie (or series of movies) would follow to end the series. Unfortunately, thanks to Warner Brothers and "Lois & Clark" this did not happen.
