  • Red Rackham's treasure was finally discovered by Tintin, Haddock, Calculus and the detectives

This twelfth story (chronologically) was the amazing continuation of "The Secret Of The Unicorn". This was just as good, even though it was shorter - for once and the first time - there were no criminals. I guess the last of the criminals were defeated on the previous book.

A nice welcoming to one of the favourite characters: Cuthbert Calculus as this was his first appearance. His intentions of helping Tintin, Captain Haddock and the Thompsons helped an even greater deal as no villains were around to stop them, it was just their own private adventure to uncover the rest of Sir. Francis Haddock's treasures - the treasure itself.

They searched the island, nothing was found but idol carvings and parrots. They then put Tintin in the submarine and let him search down there - not a thing. The last place they try was the place as seen on the previous episode: Marlinspike Hall. Tintin and Haddock amazingly found the treasure. I'm surprised Tintin didn't find it when he was prisoner there on the previous episode. Overall - pretty funny. Getting to communicate with Cuthbert was a disaster, and then the Thompsons were silly enough to stop pumping the air for Tintin as he walked the ocean floor. Yes indeed, this was just as golden great as the previous book and was highly addictive. All I can say now is: Welcome to your new home at Marlinspike Tintin, Captain and Calculus. :)

"Red Rackham's Treasure" was the 12th story in the series (chronological order).moreless
