  • The Black Island is among one of my favorite episodes from Tintin

    8.6
After watching this episode based on the comic, and comparing it with the comic, I must say that despite how different it is from the book itself, I loved it. Tintin and Snowy embarked on a tough quest to stop a bunch of forgers who were not only planning to make their own money illegally via machine, but dispose Tintin as he is one of the world's top reporters.

The Thompson brothers were excellent on this one, their constant chasing Tintin as well as their idoitic behaviour. They're great for the series and remain as two of my best characters. The Thompsons crashing in the plane after doing manuvers was a crack up. Muller is also one of the shows most memorable enermies for many reasons. This episode was based in Scotland and had one of the more exciting storylines to date, and Ranko, who could forget that kind and large gorilla himself? The guy with the glasses was hilarious as well.

Overall, even though The Black Island is one of my favorites in the series, this episode lacked parts from the comic, but despite all of that, it was great. The Thompsons were fabulous as they were hilarious, and Tintin and Snowy caught Muller and his thugs and put them behind bars.

The Black Island is the 7th book in the series (chronological order).moreless
