  • The Calculus Affair was a very great comic book just as it is a nice animated episode.

So, Captain Haddock and Tintin are enjoying a nice stroll through the Marlinspike area with Captain remarkably saying how he wouldn't take up anymore adventures (based on their last adventure which was the Explorers on the Moon).

The Calculus Affair was a very great comic book just as it is a nice animated episode.

This episode contains a kidnapping of Calculus while he is working on a machine that would surely smash every bit of glass left in the Marlinspike mansion. I enjoyed every aspect of this episode because it wasn't too action-based, but fun and nerve-wracking as well. It was the perfect Tintin choice following on from the moon events.

It was especially suspenseful when those two criminals did their all to stop Cuthbert Calculus from escaping and ruining their plans. Tintin, Haddock and Snowy did their best to try to save Cuthbert, and with it was suspense, humour and entertainment.

I won't go into more greater detail but I can admit the tank scenes were nice. But we all know that no tank that size could break through a large wall in the face of a tiny building.

Overall, the success of rescuing Cuthbert Calculus, the entertainment and the enjoyment seemed very nicely put together. Wonderful... I recommend "The Calculus Affair" to any fan of Tintin. I can't wait to see "The Red Sea Sharks"!... The Calculus Affair is the eighteenth book in the series (chronological order).moreless
