The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones

Show Summary

The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones is the ABC television series that shows the childhood of the legendary adventurer Indiana Jones. Originally airing as The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, the show was executive produced by George Lucas, and starred Sean Patrick Flanery and Corey Carrier as the young versions of the title character. Indy's adventures were fun for viewers but also educational, with appearances from historical figures and many important events throughout history. The episodes usually begin with the elderly Indiana Jones (George Hall) in present day, telling stories of his adventures, leading to flashbacks of the 10 year old Indy (Carrier) and the teenage version (Flanery). Young Indiana came across figures like Leo Tolstoy, Howard Carter, and John Ford, traveling all over the world to places like Egypt, India, China and more. After three seasons the series came to an end, but four made-for-TV films were made to continue the series, and the original series were re-edited into 22 TV films in 1999, as The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones.
