Good Doing Business With You

Season 11, Episode 11, Aired
EDIT

Episode Summary

The four remaining teams set off from the tenth Pit Stop at the Hong Kong Jockey Club and travel forty miles away to Macau, riding on turbojet ferries. The teams are pleased to find that they are able to procure these ferries early in the morning, but less pleased when they find that their next destination, the Macau Tower, does not open until 8 A.M. When one team faces financial difficulties, they make a deal to Yield another team in order to procure much-needed cash. Once the Tower opens, one member of each team takes part in a Roadblock that involves the highest jump in the history of the show. After completing this task, the teams took a taxi to the Lou Lim Ioc Garden, where Detour tasks tested either their ability to pay attention to detail or their mettle at navigation. Upon completing this task, all teams were faced with the challenge of driving a mini-moke. Navigating this unfamiliar vehicle to the Pit Stop proved a major challenge for some teams, and in the end, one checked in last, only to receive a major surprise.moreless

  • Another great episode with a surprise non-elimination leg

    8.5
    "Great"
OK. This season is near the end and we've had it's great episodes and not so great, the previous two episodes were just like old times of TAR. The episodes were put together nicely unlike some of the other ones. Last weeks episode was impressive! Oviously it was going to be either a non elimination leg or a "To be continued". But it just keeps us guessing and the game exciting. This episode was similar, and probably a little better because of the suspense and the tasks that the teams faced along the way.
There were more clues too which I like because some of the previous episodes had no Roadblock and maybe three clues because most of the time was spent in stupid Airports trying to purchase tickets but last weeks episode was brilliantly edited. We saw a lot of the airport but the a lot of the challenge too, this one stayed in China so there was no Airport involved. That was sort of great because the whole leg would be the tasks involved. I would've liked to have seen New Zealand because that's where I'm from and the race hasn't been there since Season 5. But anyway...great episode.

Oswald & Danny actually used the Yield that they didn't want to use because of Dustin & Kandice silly trick. They're hot but annoying and liars. But they only want to win so I cant really blame them for that. For the first time ever I have no hated teams left in the game, normally there is a team that you may not like but this time it's different. Charla & Mirna did well and generally do. Eric & Danielle were pretty pissed with the Yield on them again but that's the game! They're good too, good players.

We learned that the Roadblock was too bunjy off a tower in Macao but the highest bunjy in the world. Nice challenge.

The Detour was OK, not my favorite, as in what you have to do to win, the choices. After that you would've been expecting a pit stop where the Final Elimination would take place. But no. Teams had to hop into these vehicles then they would go to the pit stop.

The competitiveness here was so high, Dustin & Kandice were first and in the finals, Charla & Mirna were second and Eric & Danielle who had just escaped last place for a penalty made it.

The end was very emotional. Oswald & Danny stepped onto the mat in last place knowing that their time was over for tar, they were given a major surprise! This was the last non-elimination leg of the season they're still in but Phil warned them that the next leg will be the end for on of the teams and that they have been 'Marked for Elimination'. Very big news but it should be fun. I thought that non-elimination leg would be on the final legs but it kept me guessing!moreless

Best. Episode. This. Season. This episode was incredible from start to finish. Danny and Ozzy and Dustin and Kandice had the ingenious idea of selling/buying the yield for money, a truly amazing idea. And so, Eric and Danielle, the worst team on the race, were yielded again and once again had a hypocritical reaction. As if they wouldn't have yielded someone themselves and I bet the yieldees wouldn't have reacted in the same way as they did. The roadblock was inspiring and the beauty queens made me love them more throughout this challenge. Charla doing the roadblock was inspiring and her reaction at the end was hilarious. When the final team arrived, I was surprised by the results, mainly because I have read the spoilers. It truly is setting up for a great finale.moreless

  • Unsurprising non-elimination, really - and I find myself having a new favourite for the #2 spot.

First, I really do love the cha-cha's. They're the only team who - during both of their races - have been fun-loving, non-confrontational, easy going and just flat out pleasant to everyone and in every situation. It's really quite refreshing to see them in the midst of some serious moaning from a lot of the teams. For these reasons, and more, they are my favourites to win.

I really do dislike Charla and Mirna - and have done since the get-go. I managed to miss their original season, so my dislike is soley based on this race - but I really have never seen such ignorant racers in my life. The way they both speak to people around them whose first language isn't English is appaling - speaking slowly is one thing - but they speak like they're talking to small children (and in a very weird accent, at that!). Added to this how Mirna talks Charla, you've got a very annoying team.
BUT - they are now my second favourite team. Why? Because they are such serious underdogs. Dustin and Candice, in their season, were the first all-girl team to reach that far. Charla and Mirna are now hot on their heels - despite all their moaning, and Charla being altitudely challenged.

Aside from all this, the fact that this was a non-elimination (along with the previous episode) leg did not surprise me at all. The lack of "congratulations, you are in the top three" from Phil gave the game away. Now, I'm looking forward to some seriously intense last few legs.moreless

  • Back2Back non-elimination leg?

    "Perfect"
This is probably one of the most nerve-wreaking leg I've ever watched. The editing of this episode was so fantastic as the teams looked like they're running neck to neck the whole time.

First up, I'd like to commend Eric and Danielle for doing such a great job of playing catch up with the rest of the teams. After having been marked for elimination from the last leg, they're Yielded again and incurred a 30 minute penalty at the pit stop, I'm really impressed! I guess I don't blame the other teams for Yielding them coz they are strong competitors and pose as a threat to the rest.

I'm also impressed that Charla and Mirna is still in there. I may not like them that much, but their persistence is what kept them going this far. I only wish that Mirna wasn't so hard on Charla that much. Mirna's not all that perfect herself.

In my opinion, the Beauty Queens are the team to beat now (if they remain mistake-free throughout the last few legs until the finale). So far they've been making smart decisions in this race.

Poor Cha Cha Chas, karma really bit them in the ass, even if they didn't have any intention to use the Yield. They were just unlucky in this leg and made bad decisions.

I thought the Yield was a total waste in this leg, especially since it's a non-elimination leg. They should have kept the Yield for the next leg coz we know for sure there will be ONE team who'll be eliminated. Total waste of a good Yield. What's with the back to back non-elimination leg? I just don't get it.moreless

  • Whoa, where to begin... Quite an entertaining show.

I find myself liking Charla more and more, not sure why... maybe it's her attitude. The roadblock at the Macau Tower looked like it was quite a blast, would love to try that one out. And the detour was quite interesting... I thought the dragon boat one would be the easier of the two, but again I was wrong.

And it looks like karma came back to bite Danny and Oswald big time. After selling their 'Yield' to the Dustin and Kandice, and yielding Eric and Danielle, the pair ended up coming in last. I almost felt sorry for Eric and Danielle, and watching what they went through during the half-hour before they could be checked in. I was also surprised to find it a 'non-elimination' leg. Guess there's a couple more weeks until the big showdown. Should be a good.moreless
