Phil says Patrick finished "only a few bites ahead of Debbie" on the third leg. However, there is much more daylight out when Patrick is shown finishing compared to Debbie's completion of the Roadblock.
The title quote is not said during the episode.
Phil: On the way to the airport, Rob and Amber started a game of follow-the-leader.
Joyce: (at the orphanage in Soweto) Seeing those kids definitely reminded me of my inability to have children. Uchenna and I have considered adoption and there are so many kids that could use a home like ours.
Rob: I hate these wipers!
Amber: Why do you keep using them?
Rob: I'm trying change lanes.
Amber: Change lanes with wipers?
Rob: It's on the wrong frikkin' side!
Patrick: My main motto has always been to expect the worst but hope for the best.
Amber: If we caught up to the teams, they would die. That would mean that they went through all that suffering for nothing!
Kelly: Ray & Deana are kind of like Rob & Amber's puppets.
Lynn: We passed Rob & Amber and we looked back and Rob gave us a dirty look.
Alex: I think I still have scars from the look he gave me!
Debbie: Don't lie. You're making enemies.
Rob: This ain't Survivor. You can't just vote me off.
Alex: (referring to the llamas) I hope we don't get a gay one.
Lynn: (in an interview segment) It wasn't cooperating. I think we did get the gay one!
Lynn: (on milking the goat)I think when they are relaxed, they "give it up" more. You know, like a date.
Ray: (in an interview) It was almost a Rob and Amber "hate-fest." Rob didn't take too kindly to being called a liar. When, in actuality Rob did lie. It was part of the game, but he didn't like being called out on the carpet about it.
Greg: We already know where we are in our relationship; we're not out to decide if we should be brothers anymore.
Uchenna: It's so beautiful, just being on the soil where my people were born and raised.
Ron: I'm a redneck, I come from the country of Georgia.
Rob: The fact that you can't vote us off The Amazing Race --- cry all you want.
Phil: Teams got personal with wild lions as they fed them a meaty breakfast.
Rob: (on Lynn and Alex) I'm going to Yield Frick and Frack first chance I get.
Phil: As most teams enjoyed the majestic mountain vistas, Debbie and Bianca discovered their beautiful view was the wrong one.
Brian: Megan and I hit it off pretty quick. I would love to, like, date her.
Gretchen: I thought it was going to be a huge disadvantage that I wasn't twenty and blonde and showing a little cleavage.
Rob: (to Amber) Remember the three rules --- love me, have fun with me and don't be last.
Compared to the previous episode, which aired a day before, this episode has an extra scene in its preview of "Mow'em Down Like Grass." We see that Rob yells at the locals after feeling tricked, which was not shown in preview of "Mow'em Down Like Grass" that was shown after "Houston, We Have An Elephant."
The Yield marker is shown for the first time. Each team has one and turns it in when they use their Yield. Also, if lost, it cannot be replaced. We see it when Brian & Greg are trying to find their clue in the car, the teammate in the back of the car takes the marker out of his fanny pack when searching for the clue.
