  • Someone for everyone

I absolutely LOVE this episode! Every single word and scene is perfection. This is alternatively very funny and very sweet. One of the best little scenes is at the beginning when Barney brings ice cream home to Thelma Lou as a little surprise--as the viewer is saying "oh, that's so nice",Barney charges Thelma Lou for the ice cream--we are once again hit with the Barney we know and love. Watching Gomer and Mary Grace dance in the living room all alone, while the others watch them in stunned silence is a beautiful and tender moment. This is one of the best episodes of the series because it reaches out to touch us all by reaffirming that there truly is someone out there for everyone. And Gomer, out of all people, is able to look beyond the plainness of Mary Grace and see the inner beauty she posseses. When Gomer teaches us a lesson, we know we've got a series classic!
