  • The Miracle of Miracle Salve!

    8.2
A very amusing episode dealing with Opie and his friends getting caught up in a direct sales operation for Miracle Salve, a "pseudo medical" ointment for everything from from crows feet to rashes. The trouble is that no one is buying and the boys get caught with too much product. Barney and Gomer (!) come up with a "plan" to save the boys--as you can imagine the plan backfires on them--in a BIG way. The best part of this episode is watching the classic team of Barney and Gomer doing their thing! Not to be missed!moreless

    • (Opie's talking to Andy; Barney enters the courthouse)
Andy: Have any luck over at Mrs. Farley's?
Barney: No. It was a false alarm. She got outa that tree all by herself. She was sittin' on the front porch with her fat face in a pan of milk when I drove up.
      Opie: Who? Mrs. Farley?
Barney: No, her cat! What a question. Mrs. Farley ain't got a fat face; she got a thin face.
