This is really a special episode! The writing is superb and the acting by Aunt Bee so engrossing that we are swept away by her need to do something big in her life. She takes up flying so that she can say she accomplished something. Watching her take her small steps and finally flying is truly an amazing evolution. The scene with Howard Sprague where he tells her how nervous he was to go off to that Carribbean island but how he did it anyways, is very, very well done. I think what makes this episode so special is the fact that it touches upon a universal need for us all to go beyond our comfort zones and to reach for something special. Aunt Bee is a character that we don't always get to really know about--and in this episode you find out more about her than in the entire series. It really is one of the best episodes EVER!moreless
