  • Aunt Bee's Beau

    7.0
Although I enjoyed this episode BECAUSE of Frances Bavier, I have to say it's a pretty weak example. Yet again, they have a beau that is not too sharp and a little annoying--and we have to watch Andy deal with his frustration. Yet again, Andy has to talk to him on the porch and basically send him away. It's a shame because this could have been so much better!

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Bee, Andy, and Roger finish dinner and rise from the table, Roger follows Bee into kitchen. Upon his return all the decor has changed, for example: The knic-knacs on the china cabinet are different and the largest plate is gone, the cabinet is different, the wall has shrunk, the molding has changed, curtains too, a table shows up, etc.,. But as you look closer it is obvious that it was not two different sets, IT WAS THREE! There are 3 types of molding, 2 different pictures on the wall plus one wall with no pictures. When Roger is seen alone in the camera frame the back-ground is different than when all 3 or 4 people are in the frame, and both back-grounds differ from the one seen at the very end of dinner when they all rise (this of course is the start of the time line). It's the darndest thing.

  • QUOTES (1)

    • (Andy enters the house with the ice cream; Aunt Bee comes out of the kitchen; she's been to the beauty parlor)
Andy: Well, 'scuse me. You must be the teenaged baby-sitter. I was lookin'... Why it's you!
      Aunt Bee: (laughs) Oh, Andy.
Andy: Aunt Bee, look at you. I declare you look good enough to take to Chinatown!
Aunt Bee: (showing her jacket) I lined it in red. It doesn't show, but I think it gives it a little more style.
Andy: (whistles) New hairdo, red linin' on your jacket, peach ice cream! (whistles)
